  1. Review titled A wonderful hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Josephine - Posted on 22 April 2024

When I entered the hospital a person gave me directions and a welcome with a big smile . I went to the imaging dept for X-rays The lady in reception was very welcoming I didn’t have to wait beyond 5 mins and had my x rays early The X-ray practitioners were really kind and reassuring. On the second occasion I had MRI scans The practitioners in this dept were also really kind and reassuring . Even in the cafe later the staff were delightful. Many thanks to everyone. Much appreciated.

Dear Josephine, It was pleasure to read your comments, as we realise coming into hospital for any sort of procedure can be worrying. We are therefore pleased that you had such a positive experience from the outset from our volunteers on arrival to the hospital, along with the reception team, through to the Radiographers, and even the staff in the café. Thank you for taking the time to provide such feedback and please be assured that it will be relayed to the teams involved.

I have been waiting over 2 months for a simple test result. I have rung the department 3 times, and still no joy for my test results.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Amazing service. I visited after a fall and suspected my wrist was broken. Seen quickly and sent for an x-ray which confirmed it. The whole process wàs about an hour with a follow up appointment the next day. The care and courtesy of all staff involved was exceptional and I can't thank them enough.

Superb service from the urology department. The time between rectal examination at my doctors in Hastings, ultrasound scan at Hastings Conquest hospital, MRI scan at Eastbourne hospital through biopsy at Eastbourne, and being given my results, took just over a month

  8. Review titled Always kind, friendly staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Wendy Potton - Posted on 08 November 2023

I had a CT scan on Thursday and was looked after by the Cardiology and Radiology staff. I've always been touched by how kind the DGH staff are and my experience on Thursday morning was as good as ever. Was especially impressed by the Cardiology Sister who treated me just like a friend. I'm sure not many people say anything (and I couldn't seem to leave a Google review) but us patients really do appreciate your kindness.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Referral made my local optician. I was seen at the appointment time, there was no waiting. Every member of staff was charming, hugely helpful and gave a thorough explanation of what the particular procedure was. The doctor was very thorough and went out of her way to ensure my understanding. Well done every one and thankyou.

  10. Review titled So impressed.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Derek - Posted on 26 October 2023

I have to leave a review as I have had continually good treatment from the Urology Dept at the DGH. From receptionist to the nurses that deal with my Flexi-Cystoscopy's. A Dr was present at my last one (he had also dealt with me one time before this) so patient, so calm and reassuring, so professional. I feel so unlucky to have a cancer and yet so lucky to live in Eastbourne where i receive this fantastic treatment. Thanks so much.
