  1. Review titled Wonderful staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Graham - Posted on 07 December 2022

I was admitted via A&E for intense abdominal pain. Was well looked after with pain killers in A&E and admitted to a ward in fairly quick time. They gave me a CT scan around 2am and I was seen and treated by a doctor later that morning. They identified and solved the issue quickly, including communication with the surgeon in London who had recently worked on me. Always very busy, yet kind and compassionate. Thank you.

  2. Review titled Having a polypectomy under general anaesthetic

by SEZZYD - Posted on 10 March 2023

A scan picked up a polyp and I was invited to have a hysteroscopy without anaesthesia. I didn't read up too much about the procedure, just read the leaflet given to me. Wow, it proved intolerable painful. They couldn't even get properly through my cervix. They tried twice and then said it wasn't happening and offered me a general anesthetic. Within 12 days I was back in hospital in Day Surgery. I had the procedure and it's been relatively painless, no real bleeding and a fine fine team of doctors and nurses cared for me. However it's worth remembering that a GA has a profound affect on the body. I felt pretty rough for 3 hours afterwards. I think my salivary glands stopped working and I needed anti-sickness meds. However if you find gynaecological investigations unpleasant and painful you can ask to have it done under GA. If you've got a polyp you must have it removed and it's only 18 hours after my op and I feel reasonably good. Huge thanks to Frimley Park hospital in Surrey.

Dear SEZZYD, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave this feedback - we really appreciate it. While I am sorry that the initial procedure was not completed successfully it is great to know that your second experience less than two weeks later was much improved. I will share your feedback with the teams involved. Thanks again for your time. Kind regards, Alex Jackson, Patient Experience Manager, Frimley Health Foundation Trust

  4. Review titled Dissatisfaction with doctors

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 December 2022

My daughter has been suffering from severe abdominal pains. On Sunday 27/11 she called 111 who advised we go to a&e at Frimley. We were sent home after a brief review. On Tuesday 30/11 when still in pain she again called 111 who again advised we go back to a&e. I must add the nurses on both these visits were fantastic. On the second visit my daughter was admitted. She was on strong medication including morphine. My daughter had numerous tests and an ultrasound. The pain never stopped but as they couldn’t find anything wrong they discharged her even though she is in more pain than when she arrived. I find it completely unacceptable and just want to vent

Dear Anonymous, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your family’s recent experience at Frimley Health. Please accept my sincere apologies on behalf of the Trust for the situation your daughter experienced and, as a parent, I fully understand your desire to vent. I will share your feedback with the team in ED who might perhaps take some comfort from the fact that the nursing care was so positive. However, without more details, beyond that I am unable to do very much. If you are able to let the team know more specific details by emailing: fhft.patientexperience@nhs.net then we will be able to look into the situation and circumstances more fully. Thank you again and kind regards, Alex Jackson, Patient Experience Manager, Frimley Health Foundation Trust

  5. Review titled Why was I worried?

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Harry Hodge - Posted on 15 November 2022

Attended the eye ward at Frimley to have cataracts removed. Arrived on time and was promptly seen to by the reception staff. They explained all parts of the process from start to finish and my worries melted away. The surgery team were just as friendly, helpful and giving full explanation of procedure so nothing came as a surprise, the surgery took 25 minutes, I arrived at the ward at 16.30 and was out by 18.30, now two weeks after op and my sight has improved dramatically, so pleased with end result but also with the sheer professionalism of all staff, can't thank you enough.

  6. Review titled A follow up appointment needing treatment/surgery for hip pain

by Elderly in pain - Posted on 15 November 2022

I was seen by one of the consultant team who appeared to me to be having a bad day. I am elderly with health issues and in a lot of pain. Their first words to me were are you prepared to die? I had to ask them to repeat their question, which they did. I am aware that I am at risk because of health issues but their harshness, I would consider sadistic, made me feel like going home and committing suicide. They would not engage with any questions and got rid of me as quickly as they could by sending me for further hip x-ray. Following x-ray I waited, then I asked one of the assistants what would happen next, they spoke to the doctor, and came back to me and said There is no change, they don't need to see you. I was later collected by patient transport, who were very kind and helpful, and taken home. I have no idea what will happen next. I don't know what alternatives there are to hip replacement surgery. Having worked all my life and paying National Insurance why do I feel I was treated with such disdain?

  7. Review titled Faultless

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Phil - Posted on 14 December 2022

I was taken to Frimley Park after suffering a heart attack. Three stents were in place within an incredibly short time of my arrival and I was in the CCU for a few days afterwards. My care could not have been any better. All the staff were friendly and so caring. Everyone took time to explain my treatment and were completely faultless in every respect. I cannot thank them enough.

  8. Review titled Confidential information

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 November 2022

The care from the Doctors, midwives and care assistants was great. One area the labour ward needs to work on is patient confidentiality. Often discussing patients diagnosis and care plans in the reception area where everyone in the waiting room can hear, including the patient being discussed. Making myself feel very awkward, understandably they were busy however this should not impact the sharing of confidential information.

  9. Review titled Bbrilliant, attentive & thorough care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sam - Posted on 07 December 2022

I was admitted to the gastro ward of f9 & stayed within their care for seven days. my experience from the outset was second to none. every member of the team was amazing to each and every patient & everyone was well looked after. my treatment was clear from the doctors and we’ll executed enabling me to make a full recovery. even with full wards the nursing team were attentive and calming making a scary situation a more calm one. I cannot thank the team enough for the seven days I spent with them and would have no hesitation to see them again.

  10. Review titled Awful waiting times

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 November 2022

So stressful at every appt always waiting at least 1 hour past appt time. Resulting in me missing other scheduled appointments. This service really needs to improve. I have previous had a 9am appt which was also 1.5 hours late so it doesn’t matter what time of the day your appt is!
