  1. Review titled Wonderful Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jeanette - Posted on 07 August 2024

My husband has just spent 7 days in Good Hope. Excellant treatment throughout. After an emergency admission he spent most of his days there as a patient in Ward 12. His treatment there was superb. All the staff there were so helpful and dealt with any matters the arose immediately. Every member and level of staff on ward 12, that we encountered, couldn't do enough for both the patient and the family. Communication was brilliant. They are such a happy and friendly group of people. We can't thank you enough, for your kindness and for making a horrible ordeal as stress free as possible.

I had a re-arranged chest x-ray at very short notice because of a holiday commitment. My General practitioner has the result within a couple of hours, excellent service.

  4. Review titled Amazing quick service, super friendly staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Cassandra Stroud - Posted on 28 July 2024

I trod on a rusty nail while clearning the rear access to my property and was advised by 111 to go to A&E to get a tetanus shot. I popped to Good Hope, prepared for a long wait, and was so pleased when I was checked in and seen in all within 20mins. The system that appears to be in place separates minor injuries which are then seen quicker, freeing up space for more serious incidents. Thank you to the staff for their friendly and quick service.

The experience I have of Good Hope Hospital is second to none. I would like to give my thanks to all in, Admittance, Ambulatory, and Majors B Ward for all there care and help on 18 July this year. No one could have received better care. Everyone gave their time when needed, in what is a very busy environment. My thanks to all concerned.

  6. Review titled Amazing patient care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I have had a few bad experiences with good hope, however earlier this week I had a minor surgery, and the team were absolutely amazing on the day of the 22nd of July I was in day care recovering from the surgery and had the most amazing nurse on, shay, she was brilliant. Very helpful and you could see she genuinely cared for me and my partner who was there to support me. I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing team especially during the surgery as I was very anxious for surgery. Thank you to the nurses on day care you were the best!

  7. Review titled Scoping Suite - Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Vjo - Posted on 25 July 2024

I had to attend today with my husband for his Prostate biopsy. We were treated with care and kindness. He was put at ease by everyone he came into contact with. His consultant was lovely and explained what he would be doing. Our son and I waited in a quiet area while the procedure took place. Many thanks to the lovely nurse who looked after us before and after the procedure

Lovely respectful down to earth. Staff Kept us upto date regularly. We have to visit tomorrow 02/07/2024 again for an MRI scan. We expect the same excellent service. 9. Review titled Nurses just chat!

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 July 2024

The hospital set up is great. My mother was assisted by all the depts and the care was good. I was just shocked at the lack if care by the nurses. They were just sat on computers or just chatting. Why couldn’t they chat to the patients with no visitors! My mum did not have her hair washed! Her nails were filthy. I asked one nurse if my mum had had a drink all day. She said she was too busy! What are thesenurses trained in ! They never say hello! I ended up feeding one patient . Not good enough!

  10. Review titled Apparently doctors are invisibles

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 July 2024

I have been sat in the AE from 23pm exceptional service. But after they moved me in to major C at 3 am next day . Waiting for 3 h nobody was checked me and also when I ask if a doctor will see me the nurse told me that actually already the doctor had seen me but I didn’t spoke with no one . When I start to ask where is that doctor I have been told that he can’t come back like how that comes? 🫣. I never experienced that in my life.
