Not sure which dept this man works in. I was sitting outside the urology ward, waiting for my husband to come back from theatre. This man (maybe a cleaner/housekeeper) asked me if I was okay. I said I was fine and that I was waiting for my husband. He said my husband is in safe hands and other words of comfort. All I know about this man is that he wore a green polo shirt and black trousers, he had a beard and his name began with P and ended with L (with two letters in between). I would be so grateful if you could mention my thanks to him. He is a credit to your hospital. Thank you

I contacted the diagnostic unit today at 11am, to enquire about a referral that had been sent twelve weeks ago for an echocardiogram . I was so fortunate that my call was answered by a very helpful, reassuring and efficient lady who phoned me back and answered my query. I believe this lady is a credit to the NHS.

Review titled Excellent service at eye clinic

I spent several hours at the eye clinic for assessment of an eye condition. Went from room to room being checked out until a treatment programme was arrived at, and treatment started there and then. All the staff were exceptionally kind, caring and professional. A credit to the NHS service.

Review titled Wonderful and reliable

I had an emergency throughout my vacation in the United Kingdom, on August 21, 2024. I got to the emergency room later in the evening, closer to midnight, and the staff was very welcoming: from the kind lady who got my passport and details at the entrance who and promised they would do the best to assist me, following up with the next doctor who got my vitals and ending with the GP who gave me a pill, a prescription and advice on how to hydrate and properly recover. I was able to recover and resume my vacation sooner than I had expected - the next day. The help they all provided in less than 40 minutes was immense. I am sorry I don't remember the names, but I would like to express my gratitude to all of the members of the Hospital. Thank you for your kindness and quick help! I couldn't hope or ask for better help for my emergency as a traveler to the United Kingdom. Ruxandra

Had an appointment for second breast mammogram. Lady who did the mammogram was so kind and reassuring, along with the radiographer who discussed results and ultrasound.

Review titled Great staff, terrible use of facilities

I am a community Physiotherapist who recently completed an outreach appointment with my Learning Disability client following a recent lower limb fracture. Reasonable adjustments were not made to ensure this young lady was seen in a timely manner. Staff did there best (providing cold compress and drinks), but due to only 2 rooms being made available for x-ray we were made to wait over 90mins causing agitation to our Learning disability client. With many radiology/x-ray rooms available I just ask why can these not be made functional when times are busy?

Review titled Thorough and caring treatment

I recently visited Kent and Canterbury hospital for a Mammogram and Ultrasound, which resulted in me having to have biopsy's taken. I cannot fault the department right from the Reception desk where the waiting room is, to the person who carried out the Mammogram, the person who performed the ultrasound and then the biopsy process along with an assistant. I felt comforted and had everything explained fully throughout.
