Took my elderly Mum in with urgent concerns and lovely girl rushed us in to a private room. There was a delay but once she was seen everyone was lovely and compassionate. The Doctors and nurses were thorough and helpful.

  4. Review titled Nurses extremely good and caring ,Jr Doctor not good at all

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 January 2023

Taken by ambulance to A and E although I only wanted to see my doctor face to face, Ambulance people said no need to go, but 111 overruled them. Arrived and entered, seen by Nurses , really good. Stabilised and settled. Jr Doctor came and said what they were going to try, then left. Next time I saw him said that Blood Tests came back OK, then the last time he came, he said I could go home without any Medication. At no time did he even try to explain what was wrong. In fact I had to call him over to my bed and ask what was wrong, He begrudgingly said that it was only fluid in my stomach and that it would go away very soon, Now this had been going on for several months so completely wrong diagnosis , all he said was to make an appointment with my doctor so I saw him this morning and has made an appointment for Sdec tomorrow.

  5. Review titled Emergency ectopic surgery

    by Els1985 - Posted on 20 December 2022

After lots of tests and scans for a few weeks it was discovered I was unfortunately having a ectopic pregnancy I had lots of pain and I was so scared going through surgery and the thought of losing a baby and part of my body. The staff in gynae sdec and on maple ward were so kind. And so was all the other staff I came across in gynae. I want to say thank you and you’re all doing an amazing job. I’m still recovering physically and emotionally but I still am grateful.

  6. Review titled Friendly staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was lost coming out of X-ray and needed directions back to MIaMI. So I asked a member of staff, “excuse me, do you know where MIaMI is?” We both looked at each other for a second until I broke the silence and said “not the one in Florida” of course! And we had a laugh about it, slipping in the clear and obvious similarities in weather and climate *sarcasm*. I didn’t get the member of staffs name but I will try and find out after writing this. He absolutely made my day.

My elderly mother admitted here following admission to hospital with an infection and acute confusion. Early recognition of her Delerium, prompt treatment has meant she is stable enough to return home. Staff have been lovely. Communication about her progress was great. Thank you Poplar Ward

  8. Review titled Emergency ectopic surgery

    by Els1985 - Posted on 28 November 2022

I just want to thank all the staff on Maple ward and on the early pregnancy unit. I’ve been visiting due to pain and unknown location of my pregnancy. I came back in more pain and was found very quickly that I was internally bleeding and was growing in my Fallopian tube. I was so sad and scared and the staff were very supportive and kind. From reassurance to taking care of me. I’m still on a long road physically and mentally but these people including the surgeons, doctors, anesthetiser, hca’s, midwife’s and nurses all deserve at least appreciation. Thank you so much to you all x

  10. Review titled Exemplary service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by John - Posted on 23 October 2022

My elderly Mum was admitted yesterday via A & E. I won't mention other hospitals, but I must say that KGH has the most warm hearted, friendly and reassuring staff. I found the same, when I was admitted briefly earlier in the year. Well done everyone 😊😊
