  1. Review titled Avoid this hospital if you can!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 May 2024

Please be careful if you have elderly relatives in this hospital as you will have to chase staff around for every little thing, even to put your drip back on which takes 5 seconds to do is too much work for them! There was only 1 helpful nurse who was being bullied into doing everything by the other nurses who all sat around gossiping about other staff/patients and laughing at this nurse who didn’t seem happy We waited 11 hours in A&E to be seen by doctors who were both very unprofessional, both doctors didn’t know how to speak with with their patients! One of the doctors kept mocking the other doctor every time she spoke which was quite bizarre. This is the third time we’ve used this hospital and will be avoiding it in future as other wards in this hospital have been 10 times worse in our experience.

  2. Review titled Horrible Staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 May 2024

Hospital wasn’t even as busy so it’s not as though the staff were under pressure. Receptionist staff were awful and have no manners or decorum. Spoke very rudely and snapped at patients asking valid questions or passing on information given by the doctors they had seen. The staff were working the A&E department between 8-11pm deserved to be sacked for their lack of human decency. Spoke and treated people so badly, when they have come to you as they are sick, unwell or hurt. Nobody goes to A&E for the fun of it- they are there as they are desperate. Doctors were great but the hospital needs to train their staff adequately or not hire any old hag to work the front desk. It’s shame photography isn’t allowed otherwise I would name and shame the culprits and let social media do its work.

  3. Review titled Great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kathleen Hull - Posted on 30 May 2024

Attended Juniper Ward thismorning for a procedure. The ward clerk was friendly and welcoming. The nurse who initially took my details was very caring and made me feel at ease and actually came to hold my hand during the procedure as I was feeling anxious. Thankyou so much!! Then came the procedure, everything was explained to me fully in a very caring manner and throughout the procedure too. A very big thankyou to the Endoscopy Team

  4. Review titled Fantastic service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I came to A&E with concerns about difficulties breathing at night due to Whooping cough. I was really worried. I visited the hospital on the advice of NHS 11. I was triaged straight away and waited for just over an hour to be seen by a doctor. He was incredibly professional and reassuring and I was put at ease and am extremely grateful. NHS is constantly criticised, but I couldn't have received quicker or better service anywhere else! Thank you.

  5. Review titled £18 to park for 9hr, filthy toilet with fleas

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 April 2024

Had to wait ages to get a space while my dad was in a and e After 9 hours , I could see it would be a long wait ( more than 27hours for a bed) so moved my car to the disabled spaces infront of hosptial Parking charges clearly state £12 for up to 12 hrs , so at 9hrs why was I charged £18? How many people just tap and don’t check this It’s bad enough having insufficient parking spaces when a relative is unwell, but at least charge honestly for parking A and E was very busy, but between 1pm and 11am the next day, the public toilet in a and e was not cleaned, I squashed the fleas hopping on the toilet floor with my trainer Luckily, I am a healthcare professional and always carry antiseptic wipes with me !

  6. Review titled What a great team!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lyndsay Allen - Posted on 02 April 2024

Mum had a mammogram and biopsies - the team were all so caring, efficient and professional as was her consultant. The nurses worked so hard to perform the mammogram. As mum can’t stand on her own. We were told it would be a two hour appointment and they were all working well with the ultrasound and biopsies. Well done team.

Juniper Endoscopy staff were Fantastic. The Ward Sisters and Nurses were very helpful and very understanding. The Doctor who carried out the colonoscopy along with the two nurses assisting him were extremely caring throughout the procedure. I cannot praise enough the staff at Juniper Ward in King George Hospital.

  8. Review titled Gynaecology department

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Heidi - Posted on 05 April 2024

I have visited the gynaecology department over the past months and the service has been excellent, apart from the receptionist. I met a male consultant gynaecologist today although I was nervous he was extremely professional and put me at ease as did all the staff. Great caring compassionate staff who go the extra mile to look after their patients. Thank you !

  10. Review titled Really bad and worrying experience :(

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 April 2024

I have been to the A&E department 2 times last month and have had a very bad experience. Rude staff and awful patient care. They make me do blood tests whenever I go but don't bother checking the results and let me go! First time, only half my result came back and the second time the Dr she didn't even bother checking blood test results at all. She was very rude and just wanted me out of there. The doctors seem irritated and rushed and I was told "what is 1 issue you would like to deal with today" during my last visit. The doctors seem rushed and very very dismissive and eager to let you go. What's the point of taking blood test and other tests if you're not going to check them properly?! This can be dangerous. Nobody comes to hospitals for fun, we come because we are feeling unwell. Please change this. The nurse who took my blood test was very rude as well, she had a very bad attitude.
