Review titled What a great team!
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lyndsay Allen - Posted on 02 April 2024
Mum had a mammogram and biopsies - the team were all so caring, efficient and professional as was her consultant. The nurses worked so hard to perform the mammogram. As mum can’t stand on her own. We were told it would be a two hour appointment and they were all working well with the ultrasound and biopsies. Well done team.

Juniper Endoscopy staff were Fantastic. The Ward Sisters and Nurses were very helpful and very understanding. The Doctor who carried out the colonoscopy along with the two nurses assisting him were extremely caring throughout the procedure. I cannot praise enough the staff at Juniper Ward in King George Hospital.

Review titled Gynaecology department
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Heidi - Posted on 05 April 2024
I have visited the gynaecology department over the past months and the service has been excellent, apart from the receptionist. I met a male consultant gynaecologist today although I was nervous he was extremely professional and put me at ease as did all the staff. Great caring compassionate staff who go the extra mile to look after their patients. Thank you !

Review titled Really bad and worrying experience :(
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 April 2024
I have been to the A&E department 2 times last month and have had a very bad experience. Rude staff and awful patient care. They make me do blood tests whenever I go but don't bother checking the results and let me go! First time, only half my result came back and the second time the Dr she didn't even bother checking blood test results at all. She was very rude and just wanted me out of there. The doctors seem irritated and rushed and I was told "what is 1 issue you would like to deal with today" during my last visit. The doctors seem rushed and very very dismissive and eager to let you go. What's the point of taking blood test and other tests if you're not going to check them properly?! This can be dangerous. Nobody comes to hospitals for fun, we come because we are feeling unwell. Please change this. The nurse who took my blood test was very rude as well, she had a very bad attitude.

Review titled Rude inconsiderate staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 March 2024
My first experience was terrible. I had my 12 weeks ultra scan with this same midwife. Found out I had a missed miscarriage. This incident occurred last year February. Firstly I was seen 30 mins late. And when I had gone inside I was feeling extremely shocked full of emotions. I was rushed by the midwife to leave, though I was crying in distraught. I had to request for them to give me a minute. She was extremely rude and horrible when my husband had asked an innocent question as we are first time pregnancy we were unaware of the jargons being used as well as not understanding what had happened. And in response she said “did you not hear what I just said. There’s no baby in there.” Which was extremely ignorant and insensitive. Due to this experience for my current pregnancy (2024) I requested all my appointments At Queens Hospital. As I had been traumatised how this midwife lacked compassion. My more recent incident with the same midwife was irritating. Due to being diagnosed with diabetes I had been shifted back to King George Hospital. I was 8minutes late (bare in mind every other appointment I’ve had I’ve been on time. But seen 15-30 mins late). This day was strictly due to the parking at the hospital I’m also heavily pregnant so I rushed as much a so could. My husband had to drop me off and I had got myself checked in. I was called inside pretty much straight away, not leaving me any time to inform my husband that I’ve been called in and what room to go into when he arrives. This was a very important scan for us due to the risk so I wanted him present. I firstly apologised for being late and I advised the trainer that my husband will knock on the door and if she will allow him inside. She said yes. Whereas the other midwife in burgundy said “you’re already running late.” I had again apologised corrected her and clarified, “no im happy to start but I’m just letting you know it’ll be my husband.” My husband then called me as I sat laid down on the bed for my scan. And as a normal wife, I answered and told him which room to come too. The midwife was extremely rude and had 0 understanding. Instead she’s like “you’re already 10minutes late, and there’s a no phone policy”. Whilst I’m trying to communicate to my husband. There’s a no phone policy in recording the ultrascan. Not for answering a call from your partner. She sat there huffing & puffing. There was no harm in her still resuming her job, instead kept banging on about how my husband should go to the reception. We never come to King George’s so my husband is unaware of what the steps are. Then she started lecturing me about i shouldn’t have been on the phone when she’s told me I’m not allowed & continued lecturing me about my lateness though I had apologised. This midwife in particular has ruined the experience of me becoming a mother for the both of my pregnancies. I was appalled by her attitude. I do not wish to ever be seen by her again. All other staff were friendly.

Review titled Rude receptionist
Rated 1 star out of 5

My mother is in a care home and had to have a hearing test. I went there to await her arrival. Was told by a rude receptionist who was eating food to go to another bay bar that bay a lovely receptionist told me to return to the gutsy bay. Waited there 10 mins as no one was present. Eventually the rude receptionist arrived. I asked if my mother dead in one of the consulting rooms. Her response was rudely that she does t know she don’t work for them all. When the carer arrived with my mum he gave the letter to her which she refused to take. Again speaking rudely to Him. She is not typical of front desk staff at KG who I have sheets fouvd to be polite and helpful.
