Review titled Hearing Services
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Susie - Posted on 06 June 2024
I was given an appointment of 8.45am after callling yesterday to report my hearing aids were not working. We arrived on time and we’re taken straight through to doctor, where I was fitted with 2 new aids which were tuned to suit my particular hearing loss. This an absolutely fantastic service and the staff we saw were brilliant. I am so grateful as being without aids is awful. Many thanks.

Review titled Disgusting level of care
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Jasmine Bradshaw - Posted on 20 May 2024
Waited 7 hours to see a doctor in Childrens an and e. Waiting room wasn’t full but nobody was getting called through to see the doctor. Plenty of HCAs and nurses roaming around looking lost but no doctors!? Nurses sat at station on phones and having a chit chat with one another. When my extremely unwell child finally got seen we were told two different things by two different doctors it went from him being nil by mouth to us being sent home because the doctor said he had perked up - which was because they had gave him medication for him to then only get worse again once we got home. I phoned Childrens an and e and was told I’d have to start the whole process again of waiting. Absolutely disgusting level of care by people who are meant to be looking after us. The hospital is not fit for purpose

Got admitted through a and e that was not to bad when done in a and e I went to amu which was a terrible experience they stuck me in corridor till bay come available nobody asked if I was ok anyway I finally got a bed in a bay I was seen by doctor and consultant who told me the plan of action over4 days I was in amu different doctors and consultants was saying something different every time the care was terrible I was not informed much if anything the best and friendly staff where the nursing asst they did everything for you and listened where as the doctors and nurses couldn’t give a monkeys I could not get a mri scan as it would mean 9 days on the ward so I ended up having lumbar puncture which was also not done properly so had to go through more pain the following day when another registrar successfully took sample even when I got discharged I had no reassurance when leaving in fact the registrar popped his head in and said test negative shook my hand and went only person I seen was a nurse who gave me a letter and that was it I’m now out in more worst pain than when I went in I am amazed at the little level of care there is in fact it was something from a nightmare

Review titled Ward 18 lri
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Amelia - Posted on 16 May 2024
Well after a bit of a wobble at the start, my 88 year old father was admitted again to ward 18 under plastic surgery as no be Don there ward he went to ward 18. I cant thank them enough for going going out of their way to look after my father, making sure he was OK and looked after him well. Even though I did have a little moan, they listened and help me and my father, care from the house keepers, hca, nurse, ward sister, matron was outstanding. All he keeps telling everyone is how they all waved him off when he left the ward. So thank you to each and everyone of you. Also a mention the Kinmonth unit where he stopped for the night, yet again staff outstanding nothing was to much trouble. Very hard working staff on both wards. Each and everyone is a credit to the LRI. Thank you.

Review titled Highly recommend
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Tom Montgomery - Posted on 02 June 2024
I was highly impressed with my visit to Leicester Royal Infirmary. Arriving at 2 pm, I went through triage, x-rays, and received a diagnosis within three hours, with a practitioner with initials Lg. handling the diagnosis and displaying excellent bedside manner. After tearing my Acl, I had many questions about recovery, and she patiently explained everything thoroughly. I am very grateful for the entire team's help, especially Lg, on Saturday 2 June.

Review titled Friendly caring team and efficient diagnosis and treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Suzanne Wall - Posted on 04 May 2024
Sent to Eye Casualty yesterday by my GP. Everyone I met was friendly, clear and helpful. The nurse who examined my eye was kind, gentle and reassuring, gaining a second opinion before full diagnosis. I left 2 hours later, feeling cared for. To receive a follow -up appointment this morning for a week's time was an added boost and conveyed thoroughness of practice. Credit and thanks for excellent standards of care and treatment.
