Attending floor 6 for an eye injection this morning, the practitioner was great at explaining, reassuring and administering the jab... with hardly any discomfort. Assisting staff went above and beyond with reassurance and made me feel relaxed and well looked after. Many thanks and great service. Much appreciated.

Review titled Good practice, room for improvement

After going to the hospital recently for my Ultrasound scan procedure. ( to hopefully rule out cervix cancan) we are told to go with a comfortable full bladder . Not so easy, now as a more mature client. Only to find when I got there there is two possible procedure to choose from . First requires the full bladder just like a baby type scan .Second one I was told they can get a clearer and more accurate picture of the cervix if they do this one by using a probe inside the cervix, however this meant then emptying the bladder. They explained they ask everyone to come with a full bladder, in order to offer you the choice or in case you do not want the more invasive one. All want to say is if they could please instead ask over the phone or email and send some details of both procedures , giving us a clear choice before we arrive. Because for me I believe this is a way forward and much more helpful. I would be so greatful. Please consider this in the further. Thank you for your service.

Review titled Operation cancelled at the 11th hour.
Rated 1 star out of 5

I was due to have an operation a specific day, turned up to the appt, was checked in, and after waiting a period of 7 hours with no food or drink was told that there not enough beds to accommodate and the operation is cancelled. This is shocking. How our NHS has got to this state is beyond me, especially as we now have the highest tax burden in a cost of living crisis for 70 years.

So I am writing this, because the other rEVIEWS I’ve sent have not been replied to by the National Health Service stop your young Drs going on strike stop your nurse is going on strike retrain them how to be not rude to patients regardless of our diet they are give them training Give them breaks and get them back into the right status of pride that they had in the 70s and 80s when they were wearing their uniforms don’t bother answering me because I know you’re rude there is nothing you can say because you’ll come back with your shortstaffed. I want a doctor that speaks English not with a foreign accent the same way as somebody who wants a Hindu doctor can have that I’m fed up with saying pardon every time a consult or a doctor speaks to me because I can’t make out the accent. I want English speaking doctor with English accent, the same way Hindu want Hindu speaking doctor with Hindu accent language, not a problem, but for me, I want to be able to understand what the doctor saying Understand, bring back the uniform and I don’t mean these silly trousers proper uniform with the capes and hats. Make them look smart give them a pride is much more important than any money

I took my son to an appointment. The doctor was so good with him. He called a more senior doctor in for a second opinion who was also really nice and informative. They were also running on time.

Review titled Awful experience
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Ryan - Posted on 06 March 2024
Our gp referred us for urgent bloods. Went at 9am into the blood room and they said it had to be pre booked appointment as we were told it’s “all about money “ we called and were then told it can’t be same day even though the room was empty and it was urgent Refferal. We went back to our gp who wrote a letter for us with all details and reasoning and told us to go back to a+e. It was 4 hours before we were even assessed and sent to have bloods taken then a further 4 hours to actually have it taken and we are still waiting another 4 hours later for our results. Everyone around us has been waiting 8-12+ hours, one lady fainted, there wasn’t enough seats for the stagnant waiting room and all 3 vending machines broken. Staff communication was poor, we were not kept in touch, staff came out and said people’s names but was too quiet and often missed. Staff were repeating names of people already being treated and when I asked questions she seemed blunt/ rude saying it’s been 11.5 hours as if that is any better than 12 ? Overall awful experience, spent most of my time looking at private insurance, if I can avoid coming back I will at all cost
