Review titled Caring Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 June 2023
From when I arrived at the Emergency Department to then being admitted to the Ward all the staff were kind and caring. I had to wait for test results and was offered pain relief and kept up to date with what was happening. The staff where busy but always looked after me well. The patient areas were clean and organised. My family and I are very grateful for the treatment and care I received.

Review titled Poor communication and levels of patient care
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 May 2023
I spent four nights on the acute assessment ward before being transferred to the infectious disease ward for another five nights. I had to wait 48 hours for a scan on my liver as I had jaundice. Was told 8.30 in the morning was to have nil by mouth because was being scanned that morning, but it never happened so went all day with nothing to eat or drink. None of the day nurses checked in to see if I was o.k. Didn't seem to be any communication between departments. For example, when I was finally taken for a scan , while I was gone my consultant turned up to check my tonsils. Saw I wasn't there and never returned!! I was told on 17th May at about 4pm that ,as my blood tests were o.k, I would be given a prescription for antibiotics and could then go home. My father travelled all the way up from Kent to get me only to be told when he arrived that the day staff had forgotten to write out the prescription and I would have to wait until they came back on duty the next day for it to be sorted. This left my father with no where to stay for the night. The whole stay wasn't a great experince.

Review titled Wonderful care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Aileen White - Posted on 19 May 2023
I spent 24 hours in Red Majors. I was treated with kindness, compassion and dignity by everyone. I had numerous tests and an MRI, to find out the problem. I am so very grateful for the time given to my care, and now my health problem can be treated because of that. Thank you all so very much, x

Review titled Amazing paramedics!
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Meg - Posted on 31 May 2023
Had a wonderful experience this morning when having paramedics sent out in response to severe menstrual bleeding. Really friendly, calm and efficient service from two lovely paramedics who completely put my mind at rest. They contacted my drs who arranged medication for me to pick up the same day. I felt very well looked after, thank you both you were brilliant! When I’ve called paramedics in Leicester for other people in the past, I’ve always been very impressed by their friendliness and professionalism. Absolute credit to the NHS, thank you for all you do

Review titled Amazing job
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Amy Diamond - Posted on 17 April 2023
I arrived 10 minutes late for my appointment at theatre arrivals, but the staff were very nice about it and all the people I spoke to were very kind and considerate when going through all the checks. The scrub nurses were lovely and accommodating and the consultant surgeon and the assisting passing the instruments were very calming, courteous, amicable and thorough. The after care HCA, ward sister and nurse were also excellent as I felt quite shaky after my procedure. I could not recommend this team enough. It was like a day at the spa!

Review titled Very good care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Amy Diamond - Posted on 18 April 2023
I arrived on completely the wrong ward on Balmoral and then ran to child Orthoptics Windsor where they very patiently waited for me seeing as I had gone to the wrong side of the hospital. I was seen immediately, the staff explained things clearly and were very good with my daughter who is non verbal as well as being very patient with my lack of organisation. I was very pleased with how thorough the appointment was and how happy my daughter was despite all the poking and prodding to diagnose her.

Review titled Eye check
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Douglas Brook - Posted on 09 March 2023
Arrived at the eye clinic on time, taken in for checking and eye drops inserting. Waited for a short time, called for eye checks on machines. On ending checks, told I could go home. No information of results of checks, now have to wait for clinicians to check results.!!

Review titled Can't get hold of them
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Katie Murrell - Posted on 20 March 2023
I received a referral letter 7 months ago, stating that I should have heard something by the 25th October and if not, to get in touch with them. I have rang the number 28 times, as well as called the switchboard, and nobody has ever once answered. It just rings out every single time. I contacted PALs and they forwarded my email to the manager supposedly, but i've still heard nothing. I honestly don't know where to go from here.
