Review titled Worst Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 March 2023
Tried to contact CNS Nurse over 7 days ,automated reply to contact another number or GP or 111, none relevant to me. Eventually contacted CNS number at Lister Stevenage….. Nurse very abrupt and not helpful at all. As I was referred from another hospital I will be requesting to be referred back to my previous hospital. As this past the 62 day pathway for cancer treatment to start this is never going to happen now . I am prepared to take this further. Cannot contact staff In relevant departments. Text messages sent with no information saying to phone number on letter which appears 3 or 4 days later. Very disappointed with service and no support whatsoever for Cancer patients.

Review titled Great care and professionalism
Rated 5 stars out of 5

To all the Rsu 11b teams - March 23rd to April 6th Many, many thanks for looking after me during my 15 day stay in your ward. Whether it was a day team or night staff you gave me excellent care and attention during the period. You were always calm and considerate when dealing with difficult moments and forever had a smile on your face. All of you are truly marvellous. I am home now thanks to you, carrying on with my recovery. Thank you for being there for me. Best wishes to you all John Stoddart

Review titled 24 hours in A&E for nothing!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 March 2023
I ended up spending 24 hours in A&E in agonising pain with w possible bowel obstruction (which was never checked or confirmed). The nurses were absolutely wonderful, and were 100% being let down by the doctors and were trying to do everything in their power to make up for this and ensure the patients were comfortable and cared for. As a result, I was sent home with only pain killers to mask the underlying issue, and im no closer to reaching any conclusion of why I was unwell. I will definitely not be re-attwnding.

Review titled Could not have asked for better
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Emma De Meo - Posted on 30 March 2023
Thank you Nhs staff at Lister hospital, emergency children’s unit. I brought my eighteen month old grandson here for the second time with suspected bronchiolitis. He was quickly triaged, despite it being busy. The reception staff and triage nurses were so friendly and warm. He was promptly checked by a doctor who confirmed bronchiolitis and gave my step daughter and myself sound advice about caring for him. This doctor went out of his way to try to make my grandson smile. Love the NHS. How incredibly lucky we are to have it. Thank you Lister Staff. X

Review titled Patience and kindness
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Diane Taylor - Posted on 02 April 2023
Our mother was taken unconscious into Resus by ambulance where she was well looked after with patience and kindness. After 24hours She was moved to AMU, where she had a private peaceful room and put on End of Life Pathway. All the staff treated her with respect and kindness. Always explaining what was happening to her. This was a very distressing and emotional time for the family, made easier knowing the staff were doing their best for our mother. She sadly died 4 days later aged 91. We could not have asked for better service. Thank you to everyone involved.

Review titled Hardest working cleaner
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Sarah Hamilton - Posted on 16 February 2023
I was in A&E last Saturday night but a back problem. I spent around 10 hours waiting to be seen/treated. During that time I watched the cleaner from Mitie who was brilliant. They were the only cleaner on duty for the whole of the department, and literally every couple of minutes there was a message over the tannoy asking them to go to another area (including the ambulance bays) to clean. They didn't stop - were thorough, cheerful and just so hardworking. Please pass on my thanks to them.

Review titled A positive experience
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Lacy-Jay Hill - Posted on 20 February 2023
I had my 4th baby at Listers Maternity Unit. I had to stay overnight for 2 nights, the first night was before I had my baby & the second night was after I had had my baby. The midwives were so caring & friendly which gave me great comfort given how vulnerable i was feeling at the time. I was cared for, in my opinion, to the finest standards & I would definitely recommend Listers Maternity unit to others.

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Antony Collins - Posted on 03 February 2023
My som was admitted with problems eating and drinking due to glandular fever. The staff were superb and within a couple of days he was eating, drinking and laughing. Thank you so much our wonderful NHS. As a country, we really don’t appreciate how life would be without you and the unbelievable staff within.

Review titled Great experience of Children's A&E
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Matthew Clarke - Posted on 24 February 2023
I brought my non-speaking autistic son to Children's A&E on an evening in Feb 2023. Every staff member we came across was brilliant. Especially the lovely nurse who helped me pick a dvd for my son to watch; you were so lovely and understanding of him. Also thanks to the radiology staff cheering my son on after his x-ray. He loves the sticker he got. Every staff member shows why the NHS is great and we appreciate what you do.
