  1. Review titled 5* for the Urgent Treatment Centre

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gill - Posted on 13 March 2024

I visited the UTC on a Sunday evening around 6.15pm about 10 days ago for a fractured wrist (as it turns out). The whole experience was so smooth, effortless and a credit to the NHS. All the staff, whether medics, receptionists, cleaners were superb and the whole place was calm, spotlessly clean and, quite honestly, a pleasure to be a part of as required. I give the Hospital a 5* review and am so pleased to share my overall experience as the NHS is all about taking care of us all in our hour of need and most definitely never ever should be taken for granted. Fabulous, thank you so much.

Appointment right on time so no waiting. The two lovely ladies who looked after me were so caring and helpful at my CT scan. I had a really bad back and they were a brilliant help and they constantly checked that I was ok. Thank you both very much.

  3. Review titled Hospital Overlooks the End to End Experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Booked in for a cataract op. Online booking useless as then sent three dates by post all different. Actual outpatient op was faultless - surgeon, team and ward staff were brilliant, friendly and informative. You just sensed they cared. Discharged on basis a follow up appointment would be sent to check healing. Never sent, I had to ring Admissions who frankly seemed clueless. Now offered follow up but left wondering about not getting a date for the op for the second eye. Is it really too much to expect an efficient admissions/appointments team? Come on guys, you are really letting down the clinicians.

  5. Review titled The NHS at its best

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended the Endoscopy unit this week. The hospital is spotlessly clean. The staff are really lovely. Without exception every staff member I met in this unit was kind, considerate, helpful, friendly and reassuring. Attention to every detail was perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend to everyone.

  8. Review titled Getting prompt and satisfactory attention

    by aprilrx85 - Posted on 27 October 2023

I was given an appointment for a CT scan at Southampton, despite living in Brockenhurst. Timing was inconvenient and actually getting to the scan site would have been a trial. By being allowed to have the scan at Lymington I saved time and cost on parking, and was through the scan and on my way home within thirty minutes - a really good outcome

I had to have a scan at the Forest Assessment centre recently, and I wanted to send my appreciation for the fantastic service I received from all members of staff. They were kind, efficient, courteous and professional too. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair, and that in itself can cause extra anxiety. However, the staff were all, so helpful and put me at ease throughout my appointment. I'd like to thank them all. Kind regards Mrs Sheila Rogers

  10. Review titled Indifference

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Betty Cruise - Posted on 12 August 2023

I attended Lymington hospital for an MRI on 11/08/23. My appointment was 16:50 and I was admitted on time. However I have never experienced such indifference or lack of empathy in a medical team as with the two radiologists on this occasion. I am 78 years old, and whilst I have no wish to be treated as an “ old codger” I felt as though I was an inconvenience at the end of the day. Certainly more empathy as to whether I was nervous, comfortable etc certainly wouldn’t have gone amiss. A lesson on customer’ after all that’s what we are’ wouldn’t go amiss
