I was so nervous about this procedure but, knowing this, the staff were so professional and sympathetic, I was blown away by how well I was treated. The consultant, associate and nurses were all very personable, reassured me a lot, allowed me to make decisions about pain relief and explained every step of my procedure. They took things very slowly and I felt completely in control and able to let them know when there was discomfort. They couldn't have been more responsive to my needs. I'm so grateful, thanks a million.

I was very worried about this procedure but the consultant and other staff were wonderful with me. I would have every confidence in going back again. Even though the procedure can be painful and uncomfortable, I was made to feel like I was listened to and in control all the time. They allowed my husband to stand next to me and they comforted me and reassured me with the greatest respect for my comfort and dignity. These people do a fantastic job, I'm so grateful.

Exceptional support from the consultant and Discharge team. Responsive and caring. Good nursing on ward 9 and competent team.

My husband attended A&E in terrible pain with a swollen knee. He was seen and treated quickly by friendly professional staff. Excellent care by all the staff thank you very much.

I wanted to write to thank all who looked after me in a&e, m.a.u. and ward 7 from my admittance in the early hours of 25th October to my release on 30th. So a big thank you to the many staff who cared for me; from those who brought me water/ tea and meals to the nursing staff, doctors and consultants - I received excellent care. All were not just professional and knowledgeable but also positive, engaging and most of all, caring. We are lucky to have you when we need help. The only downside was having to wait some days to see a specialist, but I know that is down to funding/resourcing of the NHS.

Constant delays in responses (biopsy results, issue of prescriptions and many more). Causing patient distress sleepless nights etc. Wont mention the consultants name,but she has been weeks to respond and invisible since attendance in Macclesfield General

I visited here tonight with my son, who had arranged to be there for 8pm, having never been to the hospital at all and it being dark, I found it a little difficult to navigate around, but found a&e and went to reception, again pointing out here that we have never been before!, stated we were asked to come in and receptionist stated not possible, some wires were crossed here! Anyway, answered the questions then went to wait, decided to walk further on and found the gp section, rang the bell and voile we are in! The instructions were given to my son on what to do and where to find the department however it was busy and we’d never been before. So he showed the lady the booklet we had been given when at the other reception and she stated that he was instructed but never mind we’ll get you taken off the a&e system! … sorted, however one member of staff did not know his mother was sat around the corner and could clearly be heard saying his name and referring to him as a d***h***. Now I cannot fault the oohs gp service, but feel that this lack of professionalism is why the nhs gets a bad rep!! But again I was pleased with the oohs gp service

I visited Macclesfield Hospital’s Same Day Emergency Care Unit after visiting my General Practitioner with some potential early pregnancy issues. The care I received was second to the none, all the doctors & nurses went above and beyond. The unit was fantastic, very clean and well maintained, with much comfier chairs than in A & E. The staff and unit being so good really helped when having to go in for such a worrying situation. Thank you so much!

Fed up of cancelled appointments and not being able to get any clarification of when I actually might get one to see anyone. Had to resort to going to A&E just to be seen by someone which just clogs the system up elsewhere. Have also been told that physio wait is about 5 months! What’s the point.

Having just left a review about the amazing staff I was fortunate enough to care for me yeserday - might I kindly suggest Management review their workwear policy for female staff during hot weather. I believe it is not in line with what men can wear and in this day and age 'equal opportunities' should mean exactly that.
