  1. Review titled Thought I was in private hospital so good

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mr Alexander E Bevan - Posted on 22 February 2024

Was in Accute assessment. The nurses so good and always washing hands . Food was great. Cleaners constantly cleaning wards and corridors I don’t know how anyone can criticise. Car park only problem driving round and round trying to find space

  2. Review titled Horrible Place - stuff of nightmares!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 February 2024

Wasted five hours with possible sepsis at this hideous place. The staff are brusque and simply don’t listen. Nobody actually seems to care and nobody takes responsibility for you. Just left in a corridor for hours in pain with no information watching people coming in after you being seen. Actually gave up and went home in the end. The ceiling in the waiting room had collapsed and was just left all over the floor and chairs. Waiting times hadn’t been updated for two days and the general sense of decay and indifference is palpable. Horrible, horrible place!!

  4. Review titled Swift and excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Neil Hunter - Posted on 18 January 2024

The two paramedics that took my father to hospital in the afternoon of Wednesday 17th from West Malling to Maidstone A and E were absolute stars. They were thorough and careful to keep him calm. They asked permission before examining/testing him and clearly explained what was happening. He has asked me to send this review with his thanks. We are very fortunate to have such professional staff on the front line.

  5. Review titled Fantastic treatment, excellent care by all the stroke staff.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Edward Hilder - Posted on 30 January 2024

Went to Maidstone Hospital on 09th January 2024 and had hardly sat down when I was called to see a nurse. She said that the Stroke ward would call back within 2 minutes it was in fact 1 minute. I then was taken to the Stroke ward and seen immediately. The care I received was absolutely first class and could not have had better treatment if I had gone private. The aftercare has also been superb. I would like to thank all the amazing staff who looked after me. Please keep up the good work

  6. Review titled Positive experience with gastroscopy

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 December 2023

I recently had a gastroscopy and was feeling very very nervous. I was seen very quickly even though I arrived half an hour early, and the team made me feel very safe and comfortable. I felt quite bad as I was panicking due to the throat spray, and just feeling really nervous in general but I want to thank the team for making my experience comfortable. They kept telling me that everything was normal, they were monitoring me and I was breathing just fine, and that this was normal. It wasn’t painful or uncomfortable at all and was over before I knew it. Thank you to the endoscopy team.

  8. Review titled Regained my faith in the NHS

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Trafford Fox - Posted on 29 November 2023

I went in for a short stay surgery and to say I was nervous was an understatement. But the care from going in to the moment I left, was well amazing. I've had really bad experiences with Pembury and Maidstone Hospital has made me feel that when I am at hospital, I feel looked after again. Thank you so much to all the staff in admissions, theatre, and short stay surgery... you are all angels.

  9. Review titled Great care all round

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Maddy - Posted on 22 October 2023

Brilliant care all round, I went to Urgent Care and the repetitionists were friendly, despite having to (very professionally) deal with someone complaining about a potential hour wait time. The triage nurse preempted me needing an x-ray so sent me to that while I would've otherwise have been waiting for the doctor. The x-ray staff were lovely and patient with me. The doctor needed to refer me to another department and asked us to have a seat in the waiting room until they got back to him, he then noticed we had been waiting a while (just over 30 minutes) and let us know he was going to chase it up. Shortly after he called us in and let us know what would be happening next and even gave me tips to help me sleep while I was unwell, even though I'd only briefly mentioned that being a issue about an hour before. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, I felt listened to and the care was efficient without being rushed. I was in and out within 3 hours despite being nowhere near an emergency. Thank you all very much 😊

  10. Review titled Confidentiality and privacy issues

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 October 2023

Sitting in the waiting room accompanying a patient, patients were called to the other side of an open/ partial wall to answer personal questions. Do you have a catheter, date of birth how much have you drunk. , what their procedure is and sometimes what the procedure involves, the occupancy of blood in urine ????? This discussion is fully audible to the entire waiting room of people. I pointed this out, my concern was then confirmed by another patient but I was not convinced I was heard or taken seriously. The desk has a notice to say ‘your privacy is important to us’?...it does not appear so, the problem is obvious and very concerning. This is personal subject matter for anyone.
