Review titled Excellent Care
by Susan Brindle - Posted on 11 July 2023
I would just like to thank the staff at Musgrove Park Hospital for the care and efficiency they showed to my husband when he came in with a dangerously low blood pressure. He has dementia, and was treated with with compassion and patience, and was given a very thorough assessment with lots of advice for me on ongoing care. Thank you.

Review titled We felt safe and looked after
by tucanamc76 - Posted on 21 July 2023
My son was admitted to Oak ward for the day of his surgery and his recovery post op. We spent about 12 hours there before being discharged home. The nurses he had were both excellent, patient, kind and helpful. We were both well looked after, my son as a patient and me as a worried parent. Communication wasn’t perfect, but overall we felt safe and looked after.

My baby came in because he wasn’t keeping his feeds down. The staff acted really quickly and put him on IV fluids which helped a lot. I couldn’t fault the nurses on the ward, they were amazing couldn’t do enough for me and my baby.

Review titled Couldn't be better
by Hazel Mortimer - Posted on 27 July 2023
After a bad fall was taken to A&E at 7.30am by family member. Was seen within 20 mins and received excellent care from very kind and friendly staff. Had MRI scan to head which was clear and given a cup of tea ( my carer included!) and biscuits! Bad wound dresssed, discharged within 3hrs. An amazing experience!

Review titled A stress-free experience for both my son and I
by Kerry101 - Posted on 16 June 2023
I took my son to the outpatient department for a blood test. Staff were quick and efficient to get us seen, they were very kind and reassuring and explained everything so well in a child-friendly way to my son. The procedure was very quick and painless and it was a stress-free experience for both my son and I. He was really pleased with his little gift for the ‘bravest children’! A big thank you to the nurses for creating such a calm appointment

Review titled Knowledgeable and friendly staff
by Treeffy - Posted on 29 June 2023
Our 7-year-old son had major surgery on his hips and was in Acorn ward for recovery for 10 days. The surgery went well and everyone was amazing on the ward. Too many great people for us to mention anyone in particular. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, very down-to-earth which we really appreciated.

Review titled My daughter's inpatient stay on Oak Ward
by corvussm46 - Posted on 21 June 2023
My daughter was admitted to Oak ward with an eating disorder and was kept on the ward for 2 weeks to be supported with her eating and to increase her weight. Her care on the ward was excellent All of the staff on Oak ward, the nurses, doctors, HCA's, play specialists, teacher, cleaners, mental health team are all amazing. They are so friendly, kind and supportive, keep your spirits up and always make time for you despite being really busy and working in extremely hot and uncomfortable conditions (please give them some air conditioning) I couldn't have been happier with the care she received.

Dear Corvussm46 My name is Dr Holly. I am one of the Paediatric team members who responds to the feedback given by patients and their families. What superb feedback – thank you so much! That’s very kind of you to also empathise about how the lovely weather can be sometimes a little too hot for everyone! I am delighted you and your daughter received such attentive care and kindness throughout your admission. Our colleagues work tremendously hard to meet the individual needs of our children, young people and families and I am so pleased you were given the upmost support to make your daughter’s stay as comfortable as possible. I will share your wonderful feedback with all staff members on Oak ward who looked after you and your daughter and I have shared directly with Dr Anna Kyle. I will also share with the CAMHS and CEDs leads, the play therapists, the ward teacher, the cleaners as well as the wider Paediatric department. I am in no doubt your feedback will be extremely well received and it will be hugely appreciated! Thank you again for your lovely feedback! Kindest regards Dr Holly
