  1. Review titled Very disappointed

Rated 1 star out of 5

It’s simply horrible. All sick people waiting hours after hours. No service no attendant nothing. Securitise are very rude. I didn’t understand how someone sick, came for emergency treatment and have to wait for 9 hours. I filled my 9 hours I’m leaving now without having any kind of treatment. This is NHS. This is the fatalities of a first world European country. Three cheers for NHS.

  2. Review titled 9 Hours of being pushed around

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Annmarie Alao - Posted on 13 December 2022

We came here early this morning (7 am) as my son was in extreme pain due to a perianal abscess. The GP has been fobbing us off for weeks. We were assessed fairly quickly but have had to wait nearly a further 5 hours to be seen by the surgeon. During this time I have been told twice that I cannot take a seat as they are only for patients. I have been moved along to different areas three times as apparently I was in the way. 1. I did not unilaterally choose to sit somewhere. It was allocated to me by a nurse. 2. I have now lost track of where my son is. So many different people have moved me that I doubt that they know where I am. 3. It would be nice to actually know what is going on but no one has bothered to update me. I’m very angry.

Dear Annmarie Alao Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your visit to Newham Hospital with your son, from which we are disappointed that your experience has been less than satisfactory. No one needs to feel the way that you have described and to lose knowledge of your son's whereabouts with no communication forthcoming, would have added distress to an already stressful situation. 3. Review titled Not great

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 November 2022

Waiting times are way too long and not enough space in the waiting area for patients and some are forced to stand. Nurses and Doctors are very lovely however the receptionist was extremely rude. Wouldn’t look up from her desk to acknowledge people and shouted at many patients for asking relevant questions. Had absolutely no compassion or sympathy for anyone and was enjoying herself behind the screen with other receptionists staff having a laugh and gossiping. Would not recommend solely based on her attitude.

  5. Review titled Poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I went in emergency department with high blood pressure which is happening for first time in my life. No one even check me i have to wait 8 hours and I still didn't see any doctor to tell me where is a problem so i have to go home and look after me by myself. So why it's called emergency if there is nothing emergency . I'm very disappointed of service and staff when you try to ask them something they are telling you wait or go like they don't care about us. Nobody will go there if it's feeling well. They treat us like we are stupid and we don't understand. Yes i don't have medical education that's why I am there. Very very disappointed.

  7. Review titled Disappointed

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 December 2022

I went to a&e due to moderate upper back and chest pain. I waited almost 4 hours to be seen by a triage nurse who took my vital signs and sent me to the urgent treatment centre. I waited for another 2-3 hours to be seen by a doctor who just listened to my chest and gave me 2 weeks worth of medication. No tests were done like an ecg or X-ray. Surely if someone comes stating they have chest pain whether it’s from back pain or something else, an ecg or X-ray would be done. But none of that was done. It’s as if as they couldn’t be bothered to listen and just wanted to get rid of me. I was even told just to go to my gp next time because they deal with emergencies. Don’t they realise that chest pain can lead to serious problems? I’m very disappointed in this hospital and would not recommend anyone to come here unless this hospital changes.

  9. Review titled A heartfelt thanks…

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs Jaspreet Ubhi - Posted on 06 January 2023

My daughter was born at Newham Hospital in October last year. My experience with the hospital was unforgettable, more so indescribable. If anyone would have told me my labour journey would have been that great I wouldn’t have believed them. I remember everyone scaring me about labour prior to giving birth but the NHS staff at Newham were brilliant. I felt blessed to be in the presence of such supportive and caring staff. I look back and think about the day and nights I saw staff running around patients to make them comfortable. The staff here are completely underrated… I cannot describe in words how pleased I was with the care received. Thank you so much for helping me on my journey to motherhood. Unfortunately soon after my daughter was born my Dad passed away and my thought of giving the hospital staff 5* feedback took a back seat so I apologise. I would like to thoroughly thank the staff in Larch antenatal, Labour and Birth units. You were all immensely supportive through my Labour journey and post. I could see how hard you all worked to help patients despite some unhappy patients you all pushed through to provide the best care for everyone. I feel privileged to have been able to experience this and I cannot wait to have my second child. Thank you!

  10. Review titled Outstanding care!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Debra Kaylor - Posted on 16 November 2022

I spent 4 days on Manor Park ITU before being transferred to a ward under the care of the same team. I cannot praise them enough, and I know if it wasn't for their outstanding practice I wouldn't have pulled through after contracting Pneumonia and Sepsis. Their kindness and care shone through, and as ill as I was at ease that I was being cared for by a team of outstanding consultants, Doctors and nurses that were doing their upmost best to get me well. They never left my side and informed me of everything they were doing, and I have never seen such a dedicated team working so hard on ITU and the ward I was taken to after I began to get well. I can't thank you all enough! and I am so proud to be able to say that I have this amazing hospital on my doorstep! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
