Review titled Top Quality Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Neusa Vieira - Posted on 07 March 2024
The hospital was clean and well maintained. The staff were amazing and took great care of me and went out of their way to put me at ease and make me feel comfortable through all the exams and procedures i had to go through. I wish to thank each and every nurse and doctor who looked after me and wish i could name them as they all deserve to be recognised for their work and dedication to the patients in their hour of need. Thank you all so much and don't take this the wrong way but i hope i don't see any of you again anytime soon. Seeing them all at work and looking after every patient gives me a new found respect for everyone in the profession. You all deserve the highest praise. Thank you again for treating me with such kindness.

Review titled Urology Department
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Matthew - Posted on 29 July 2024
The Urology department at City Hospital Peterborough is terrible. Every time I get an appointment you can guarantee it will be cancelled and you have to wait another 12 months before you get another appointment only to be cancelled again. I think that management should seriously take a look at this department to find out exactly what is going on and have words with the consultants to see why so many appointments are being cancelled.

Review titled My partner needs help with her skin issue ASAP
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Shahir - Posted on 27 April 2024
I am writing on behalf of my partner, who has been suffering from a severe and debilitating skin condition characterized by unrelenting itching and visible damage to her skin. Despite having been referred to your dermatology department, she has yet to receive an appointment after several months of waiting, which has resulted in considerable distress and a worsening of her symptoms. We understand the demands and challenges faced by healthcare providers, particularly in specialized fields such as dermatology. However, the delay in treatment and diagnosis is profoundly impacting her quality of life and overall well-being. It is distressing to witness her continuous discomfort and the progressive deterioration of her skin condition, which could potentially lead to more severe health issues if left unchecked. Therefore, we respectfully request an expedited consultation with a dermatologist at your earliest convenience. We are eager for a professional evaluation of her symptoms so that appropriate treatment can be commenced to alleviate her suffering. We would appreciate your immediate attention to this urgent health matter. Please inform us at your earliest convenience about the possibilities of arranging an expedited appointment. We are prepared to accommodate any available slot and are flexible with our schedules to facilitate this critical consultation. Thank you for your understanding and prompt attention to this serious concern. We look forward to your swift response and are hopeful for a resolution that brings about a significant improvement in her health.

Review titled Horrendous parking experience
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 March 2024
Parking on every day I visited over 3 days was completely inadequate. Majority of parking has been designated permit only for staff (wouldn't want them walking or using public transport) leaving patients and visitors driving around in the vain hope of a space. Noticed a nice green sign on the staff carpark each time saying "spaces". When I couldn't park after more than 20 minutes I gave up and parked nearly a mile away in a residential area. Poor design and poor management, no retailer would dedicate the majority of their carpark for staff or they'd go out of business. In the NHS user convenience and safety is clearly secondary to staff convenience. Worst part is I had to drip off and pick up an elderly relative who cannot walk long distances.

Review titled Excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Joan Carter - Posted on 26 April 2024
My 14 year old granddaughter was blue lighted to PCH with suspected meningitis. She was given excellent care both physically and emotionally with a brilliant play therapist brought in to support her through the lumbar puncture. Her care on the ward was above and beyond. Thank you

Review titled Rude consultation
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 April 2024
I had a urology consult last week where the urologist tried to accuse me of taking illicit drugs aswell as was being rude and not listening to me whatsoever when going over previous test results on top of this he asked why I’m scared of having cathatorisation/ a camera in one hole but not scared of having anything in the other female hole, I found this experience extremely degrading as I’m only a 23 year old female and have had my current problem for 7 years and just want either a treatment plan or more tests to figure out what’s actually wrong, when giving possible issues that could be wrong was completely shut down and was told to stop listening to others when some of the others were urologists. I believe after this consultation they have given me medication I also do not need following test results that were infront of the doctor. I do appreciate that they listened to one of my requests regarding antibiotics however overall a very bad experience considering I had been waiting for this appointment for nearly a year. Thankfully after speaking with the team will be being booked on another consultation however just hope no one has had similar experiences with this current doctor as it was extremely rude

Review titled Ward A4 General Surgery
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 May 2024
My mother was admitted to Ward A4 for a week in March after a bad fall. ( She had never been overnight in hospital before and she’s 88!). Her experience in this Ward was worthy of the highest praise, hence the review. The whole team ensured she had exemplary care at all times. Her transfer to respite care was handled sensitively and she has appreciated just how hard everyone works as a team to support patients in her circumstances. A huge thank you to everyone involved from my mother and immediate family.

Review titled Very long wait
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Mr Sean Smith - Posted on 21 February 2024
i came in for a wrist injury and needed an xray. i arrived at midnight as per instructions from 111. i was left waiting all night until 8am when things started moving along and getting seen to and getting my xrays. i was then told after asking why i was waiting so long that there was no one in to do this until 7.30 when the day shift comes in. so instead of being told nothing can be done till tomorrow and letting me come back later i was left in a&e for 8 hours. this bad enough for a healthy person but i am a diabetic t2 treated with insulin with no access to my insulin as i didnt bring it with me as I did not expect to be there all night. So i could not eat for risk of raising my blood sugar to much. There was also 3-4 other people also waiting for xrays but at least 1 of those left in the early hours. By the time I found out what was happening (around 4.30am) i thought theres not much point going home and coming back a few hours later so just stayed. No one should of just been left for 8 hours
