  1. Review titled Excellent treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 December 2023

I had an asthma attack and couldn’t get in to see my gp. Called 111 and within half an hour I had a call back from a clinician who booked me an appointment at the urgent treatment centre. I was seen in no time by a lovely doctor who got me into treatment, organised an xray and collected my take home medication with a smile on the face - nothing was too much trouble. Excellent care and service from the Urgent Treatment Centre at PCH - thank you.

  2. Review titled Fantastic well run department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have had to be monitored by CT scan over a period of 18months I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. Staff really friendly and efficient. All follow up scans on time and I could even choose times. Prompt results. Great service, much appreciated.

Just wanted to say thank you to all staff in A&E and Amazon centre staff for amazing job . We were admitted on Christmas Day and stay till end of Boxing Day. My both children even received presents from the Santa- how nice ! I’m always truly impressed with dedication and care we received.

  4. Review titled Excellent treatment from beginning to end

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gavin Rowe - Posted on 30 December 2023

Very impressed with the speed of arrival of the ambulance and treatment by the crew, in home testing and transfer to accident and emergency. More tests at accident and emergency, all done pleasantly, prior to escalation. Moved to corridor care (no 6) where sister, nurses and all staff very attentive. Impressed with doctor and his diagnosis. He was also very receptive of some additional phone advice from a palliative care consultant. When discharged in the early hours, my catheter was immediately removed and the reception staff rang my wife to say where I would be waiting for her. One small complaint: there was no way that I was going to get any sleep in that corridor! Overall extremely impressed with all staff working under extreme pressure.

  5. Review titled Fantastic Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carl Stoppard - Posted on 07 December 2023

Attended the day treatment unit for a tricep/elbow operation. I was very nervous due to never having surgery or general anesthetic before. All staff who I encountered were absolutely amazing and can't thank them enough. The anesthetist was very reassuring and put me at ease. The staff even helped me dress after the operation. Thank you.

  6. Review titled Audiology Department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alistair Wade - Posted on 19 December 2023

I had a problem with one of my hearing aids, I rang the Audiology Department and explained the issue. I was advised that if I could get to the Hospital they would see if they had someone available to carry out the repair as the postal service was unreliable this time of year. I arrived at the Hospital at about 1130 hrs and was seen at the Audiology Department and the repair completed within about 15 minutes. First class service. It's good to hear again!

  7. Review titled Fantastically cared for

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Holly - Posted on 02 November 2023

I had a tonsillectomy yesterday at Peterborough hospital, it was my first ever surgery and I was very nervous about the entire situation. All of the staff from the receptionist, to the health care assistants, the nurses, the surgery team, the doctors, the anaesthetist were amazing in their care and how they looked after me tirelessly from 6:30 am until 8pm last night. Watching my progress, helping me with the complications, listening to me when I was in pain, prescribing me pain medication to take home, being so patient with me when trying to eat yoghurt and jelly. I’d highly recommend this hospital for a tonsillectomy.. you won’t have better care anywhere else. Feeling super lucky that I was in good hands :)

  8. Review titled Amazing service and such friendly caring staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Our experience of A&E majors was very good. Staff are friendly, caring, approachable and very professional. Lots of volunteers that also made the experience a much better one in the circumstances. Everyone doing their best to ensure both patient and relative care is 100%

  9. Review titled Received great care during autistic meltdown

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 November 2023

My 10 year-old child had an autistic meltdown in the middle of the fracture clinic waiting room. Staff were understanding and compassionate. They found a room for us to use while it passed, and were able to complete the treatment swiftly after (repotting), offering to do so in the same room. It's always tricky for my child when they have a meltdown in public - afterwards they are embarrassed. Being able to be in a room away from everyone really helped. Thank you so much.

  10. Review titled Never seen A and E like it

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Nicolq - Posted on 14 November 2023

Virtually no doctors. Went with my little boy who had breathing difficulties and not triaged within 45 minutes. We sat in a waiting room from 11:30pm to 5:30am. We did get steroids from a nurse, but communication for waiting times was not great. Seeing a doctor to be discharged was impossible and then you are told you have to sign a form to leave against medical advice and this may even trigger a concern for neglect. This approach to parents is very poor, we wouldn't be there if we weren't concerned. A very, very different experience to the last time we had to visit months back.
