    In my 24 hour experience of A&E I was left for 16 hours, only having my bloods monitored regularily but not treated or cared for at all. I had been on the floor for several hours and should of been given an MRI but was disregarded and treat with no compassion or dignity. All nurses seemed to be hating their job bar the odd one.

    Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent experience. I am so sorry to read of your experience and really saddened that you felt disregarded by staff. This is not something we would want any of our patients to experience. Our Emergency Departments have been experiencing significant pressures due to the increase of patients coming through the department. Even though the department is extremely busy, all of our staff do aim to provide a high standard of care and treatment that is patient-centred. From your posting, it is clear this has not been your experience and for that I am sorry.     I want to thank the staff in A&E this week. Overcrowded and rushed off their feet the staff were kind and patient with my sister and myself in very trying circumstances. It’s not the nurses fault the service isn’t properly funded and there are long waits to be seen, these nurses were heroic. Florence Nightingale would have been proud!

  3. Review titled Car parking problems

    I entered Pinderfields hospital car park and the machine issued me with a ticket. On leaving within the 2 hour period both payment machines stated the ticket was faulty, I being let out of the car park by hospital security. I do hope I am not issued with a fine as the car parking company are in breach of contract by not ensuring I was issued with a ticket that is not faulty. I will be using the local bus service from now on. I am not best pleased

I am really sorry that the information is incorrect and from searching on the Internet, I have been able to find the website with the wrong telephone number.     My daughter went in for a day dental procedure on the children’s ward at Pinderfields and I have to say a massive thank you to all staff who cared for her especially as she is very challenging due to her disabilities .I cannot praise them high enough as they really went out of their way to make it as stress free as possible for her ,especially the Dentist and the Anaesthetist who were fab with her and so kind .At a time when the NHS is having so mainly complaints credit where and when it’s due ,in this instance I couldn’t fault it

    I spent 25 hours in A & E waiting for a bed on ward 12. Without exception all the staff l met and observed caring for others showed great empathy, care and kindness. Staff were highly trained and professional and endeavoured to manage my pain and ensure my needs were met. I am very grateful for their patience and encouragement and so thankful that we all have access to NHS healthcare.

    I was admitted to this hospital by ambulance in the early hours of Saturday morning with very high blood pressure resulting in a serious nasal bleed. I was seen by a doctor within 1.5 hours and then referred to an ENT consultant, who I saw shortly afterwards. The treatment was excellent by everyone and each was friendly and professional.

    The doctor was extremely rude and unprofessional. He didn’t listen to the patient at all and just wanted me to say yes or no to his questions. A key function of being a doctor is to listen to patients and then provide appropriate advice. This doctor just didn’t listen and I don’t trust his advice at all. I wouldn’t recommend this ent service to anyone.

    My mum was admitted via ambulance and taken straight into Resus, very poorly. The staff were amazing in exceptional circumstances and gave mum such care. The unit was extremely busy and the staff worked under stress. Once mum had been stabilised we were moved into a cubicle until a bed was found. The nurses and doctors cared for mum and us, I can't fault any of them. They understood what an emotional time it was for us. Thank you
