had a procedure at Endoscopy day centre and cant fault the staff and process from arrival to leaving. All the staff are friendly, cheerful, respectful. I felt very at ease in what is a daunting procedure. I have this procedure every year and Ive never had anything but good care. thank you all .

  2. Review titled Lovely, welcoming team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Taylor - Posted on 23 January 2023

I visited the practice for a concerning skin lump. The doctor, consultant, and nurse team were so friendly and helpful during what was a distressing time for me. They were very open and made me feel so comfortable. I feel we are quick to share complaints, but often reluctant to share positive feedback, which is not fair, especially during these extremely challenging times. I hope this team, like all in the NHS, receive the recognition and praise they deserve.

  4. Review titled Poor communication and pointless appointments

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 January 2023

I was seen by the ENT department in September 2022 after waiting over a year to get a referral from by GP. After my appointment with them, I was told a referral had been made to SALT, who would be in touch. I contacted both ENT and SALT several times as no contact had been made. Both said there was nothing they could do and they would eventually contact me. In January 2023 I was contacted by ENT who said I needed an appointment with them. I questioned this twice explaining that I had already been seen and a referral had been made. I was told the reason for the appointment could not be discussed over the phone and that I should attend. I had to take time off work and travel from Manchester for this, only to get there and be told I didn’t need to be seen and that they were going to cancel my appointment but didn’t. I was genuinely shocked by this and explained my confusion. I asked them to reiterate the process and confirm who would be contacting me. Again, it was more of ‘someone will be in touch’. I am so confused by this waste of time and resources and I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication. I understand wait times are lengthy and that’s an annoyance but not something that overly bothered me, but to get me to attend a pointless appointment is something else. How did this even happen? Really would not recommend this hospital at all. This whole experience has been a nightmare, and I doubt I’ll even get treatment at this point.

  7. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by M J Miller - Posted on 25 November 2022

I am writing to commend the excellent care I witnessed recently. I accompanied my elderly friend to an appointment in Dermatology on an extremely rainy day. She has mobility issues and even getting from the drop off point into the hospital in a wheelchair, she became soaked to the skin and very cold. On reaching Dermatology, the Reception staff responded with alacrity. They took her coat to be dried off and fetched blankets to wrap round and warm her. Having checked with the clinician that it was ok to do so before the procedure for which she was attending, they brought her a hot cup of tea and biscuits. I was so impressed by their kindness and empathy. The care continued throughout the appointment, with the Nurses attending her adapting the procedure to accommodate her poor mobility. Upon completion, one of the Nurses offered to - and did - accompany us to Reception and waited with my friend while I went for the car. It was about 5pm: time for a mass exodus from the multistorey carpark, so this took some time. I should like to thank all the staff involved in looking after my friend and her well-being so well as a whole person rather than just for the reason she was there. I have considerable past experience of accompanying disabled elderly relatives on hospital visits; I don't think I have ever before witnessed such excellent care. Thank you!

  8. Review titled It sounds daft but I did love my stay so thank you

    by eye1 - Posted on 29 November 2022

I stayed on the ward for five days in November after having ruthenium plaque plate surgery in my eye so was isolated in my own room for 5 days untill the plaque was taken out. But I cant thank the staff enough, days and nights, for all they could do to keep me happy and make my stay very good, they checked on me every day, made sure I took my meds and gave me the support I needed after my diagnosis. The cleaners did a fantastic job keeping the ward clean, answered any questions you might have, it sounds daft but I did love my stay so thank you again all the staff on F2

  10. Review titled I felt safe, well supported and cared for throughout.

    by virgoep49 - Posted on 17 February 2023

I had an emergency caesarean section at the Jessop wing in Sheffield. The care I received whilst in labour prior to the surgery by the midwives and all staff during surgery was exceptional. I felt safe, well supported and cared for throughout. I could tell the staff at the emergency admissions unit were very busy. However, they treated me efficiency, providing dignity and care showing a high level of skills. I felt safe and reassured during my time in labour and surgery. My experience of being cared for on the ward after the c section was also great. The ward was well staffed I felt cared for. When I used the call bell someone came straight away. I felt well supported with breast feeding and they put me in contact with the infant feeding support workers who visited me. I was discharged after 48 hours and felt confident about being discharged. The discharge process was efficient and I came home with everything I needed. I cannot thank them enough, the care I received was excellent. Thank you
