    Absolutely disgusted at the price of parking, there is no need to be so expensive, when people park it is either for an appointment for themselves or visiting someone, they do not need extortionate price of car parking as well,

Unfortunately, our charges at LTHTR are in line with many other NHS Trusts across the country and unfortunately, we do not have any input in the carparking charges.     Had a breast reduction and uplift by fm the plastic surgeon on 3rd aug he is so nice such a nice bedside manner very polite and caring he did the op which is brilliant, I encountered a few problems that resulted in me going to a&e on the 5th aug but informed ward 4 and soon after my consultant personally rang me asking me If I was ok, and told me to come and see him which I did the day after he looked at my wounds and said they were very good, and he would see me on thurs 10th aug. He is just so nice and brilliant surgeon I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again. Also the staff on ward 4 were brilliant with me checking on me every half hour cos my blood pressure was low and low oxygen levels the night staff were exceptional with me so thank u to all. Also the nurse I had caring for me in recovery was one of a kind I was in recovery for around 8 hours and had the same nurse the whole time on a 1 to 1 they were all good in recovery except for 1 who was head recovery nurse she was very sharp and rude but think she was under a lot of pressure so will let that be the excuse as to why she was off. But all in all from my surgeon to nurses recovery nurses etc 10/10

    The nursing care was excellent at Bleasdale and Barton wards at Preston Hospital, but sadly the rehab team did not meet expectations. They have a very unfortunate approach impacting on patient’s wellbeing and mental health. Preston Hospital needs to review their systems, as a matter of urgency. The rehab team are negative, unaware of patients specific needs, visit patients rarely and many patients pray for weekend arriving, when there’s no rehab. It felt like being in a prison. It’s no wonder patients remain in this part of the hospital, for such long periods of time, as the patient is lucky to receive one visit a week from a physio, OT, SALT etc . It’s a dreadful situation and needs highlighting! It’s a horrible experience for patients who spend week after week, staring into space with their mental health deteriorating. An awful experience for very sick, disabled patients. Preston Hospital needs to make massive improvements to patient care and the quality of support from the Neuro rehab team, although the consultant was fabulous!

    Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone in the gynaecology dept. My mum who is 92, was treated with the utmost dignity and respect by everyone from the receptionist to the consultant. They arranged transport back to her nursing Home which arrived very quickly and we even got coffee and biscuits whilst we waited for the transport......the driver was also lovely. You hear so much bad press about royal preston hospital but honestly, I think you are all amazing. thank you.

    having driven around every car park at Preston Hospital for 40 minutes and looked at off site parking, I had to leave without setting foot in the hospital. I have tried to speak to the car parking dept' but have not been able to get a response by phone, Pals voice mail says they advise contact car parks dept'. so all in all no one want to discuss the atrocious car parking situation. Car park attendants did not help as there was nothing they could do. This was a failed visit to this hospital , I truly hope I never have to visit again.

    I gave someone a lift who had an eye inflammation. They were assessed, given a diagnosis in the relevant department and given medication from the pharmacy in good time. I was last here with my Dad in the Renal ward and his care was excellent too. Thank You.

  7. Review titled Endometriosis surgery

    I have been waiting almost 2 years for endometriosis surgery, all the while my pain gets worse. I have tried multiple times to chase up appointments etc, but every time it seems impossible to speak to someone who I feel cares. It's 2023, I don't think we can keep blaming COVID for substandard services.

    After waiting over 40 minutes to see a consultant oncologist they refused to see me and walked off in a huff.Not up to the job some of the people in this department.Now seeing another consultant on time who could not be nicer with excellent staff around them,that says it all does it not.

    Attended 20th June, excellent and supportive service, from reception, nurses and doctors, leading to referral to plastics department. Everyone was thoroughly professional and reassuring. My only complaint would be the 6+ hrs wait time, clearly a staffing issue with only one doctor present.

    been in sau bed 14 first time ever in hospital and the care was excellent the staff from every position were so friendly and helpful they work so hard and still have time for you with a smile and always put you at ease nothing is too much trouble no matter what time of day all the staff deserve credit to the ward I was so impressed with every one can't thank you enough ....but don't want to come back lol again a big thank you for making me feel at ease
