  1. Review titled Contact issues

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Sue Aldred - Posted on 16 June 2023

I have been trying to get hold of the neurology department on behalf of neurology at Salford Royal and just get to listen to an automated voice mail on main phone number. When I ask for neurology the automated system says "sorry neurology cannot take your call". Not sure how else to contact the department without any specific email address to use. Very time wasting.

  3. Review titled Caring and reassuring

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I had to rush my 5 month old baby to urgent care on the weekend due to abnormal breathing and the staff there from reception, nurses and the doctor were all really caring and reassured me. They didn’t make me feel like I was overreacting and I was in and out in just over an hour. I can’t thank the staff enough.

  4. Review titled Excellent, knowledge, help recommend 100 percent.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Attended pain Management with the consultant, who was excellent in explaining, took time and patience with me. So very kind, supportive and in his guidance and advice I genuinely know he wants the best for me in terms of treatment. The whole department work together as an excellent team and the nursing staff care, and are efficient. I would recommend pain management clinic Preston. They are incredibly helpful and kind. Thank you for all your hard work, with me and my complex health problems.

  5. Review titled Shocking service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Adam Gregory - Posted on 05 April 2023

Would like to say how wonderful the service and the NHS is but sadly I can't. My ife has been referred after a private pid appointment to the NHS for a neoroligical injection as a priority case. I have tied calling but the number advertised on the hospital website doesn't work so I came into the hospital to the information desk that had no one manning it. What is going on!! Clearly customer service isn't a Preston hospital objective

  6. Review titled Great hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jedi - Posted on 15 March 2023

I've had an amazing experience today. I had a suspected mid foot fracture- and i've been well taken care of. From the Ed reception to the A and E triage nurse , to the x-ray service and back to the Aand E urgent care and finally the orthotics practitioner who gave me a bootcast- everyone was amazing! - helpful and empathetic. My whole experience lasted about an hour. The NHS gets a lot of stick, but when things work , no matter how minor it seems, we should also highlight and give kudos. Thanks guys and God bless

  7. Review titled Superb

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Unpromptu visit to A&E via the gp on Thurs for suspected stroke had me waiting for over 12 hours! Witnessing what the staff adhere to from some patients i must say is very distastful but staff all remained professional, calm and dealt with the matter. I really felt cared for in those 12 hours, yes it is a long time to sit and wait! But in context there are sicker patients who cannot be seen from the waiting room with more urgent needs! Moving to ward 21 the exceptional care continued, the staff all went above and beyond! The ward was run very well and any of my concerns were listened too. I have just had the most nervous few days of my life but was very much supported and reassured by highly qualified staff.

  8. Review titled Friendly and efficient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sarah - Posted on 28 March 2023

I was recently admitted to Ward 3 as a day case for oral surgery. I had originally been admitted a week prior but unfortunately was sent home before my operation due to staff illness. My second surgery date was during the junior doctor strikes and many other surgeries were cancelled but luckily they were keen to not have to cancel on me again and the operation went ahead. Every member of staff was friendly and professional and I was seen quickly and efficiently by all the of the medical team prior to my surgery. Everything went well and I was discharged home within a few hours. Thank you to Ward 3!

  9. Review titled X-ray department was wonderful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Claire Bennett - Posted on 29 March 2023

Went for a specialised dental x-ray today and I arrived 15 minutes early, the radiographer and student radiographer saw me before my appointment time, were very efficient in doing the scan and I had a copy of it in my hand within 10 minutes of having it done. The student radiographer was confident and explained what to do simply, clearly the radiographer is doing some brilliant teaching.

  10. Review titled Total Confusion

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 March 2023

Attended A&E by ambulance after fall injuring back. Short wait in Ambulance but when take in told as im helped onto a bed Doctor has aranged x-ray and scan. Not offered pain relief 2 hr later Nurse agrees to get pain relief. Further hour got the xray further hour 2 paracetamol arrive. Further 2 hours head scanned for back injury. Eventually told because of age fall must be as I had stroke or heart problem. I wouldnt trust them with a plastic doll no logic at all with their ideas. Pushed to another area vomit bowl and tissues still there from previous patient and not removed before I left 8 hours later still without tretment for back pain.
