  4. Review titled The attention I received was excellent

    by williamsj55 - Posted on 01 December 2022

I lost consciousness twice after a pill became stuck in my throat and was rushed to hospital. The ambulance took me to A&E. I was admitted and the attention I received was excellent. The staff were superb and many test were carried out before I was released. By then I was feeling fine.

Amazing staff and excellent care. Despite having a traumatic birth, every member of staff helped me feel more comfortable and deal with the experience in a postive way. I am so grateful to each and every one of the staff members on duty.

  7. Review titled Lack of communication, understanding or sympathy

    by hydraqz68 - Posted on 31 January 2023

My waters broke at 36 +2 and I was told to come in for a check up. Ended up staying overnight on the ward for observation and then sent home the next day as I wasn't contracting and my cervix was closed. The next day I went back in as I was having regular contractions and it had now been over 48 hours since my waters broke. I was put on a monitor after waiting for quite a while and being moved from one bed to another for some reason. During the monitoring, my baby's heart rate was dipping so I was told I would be examined and then sent to labour and delivery to be induced. At this point I'd already been there for about 4 hours. When I was examined the midwife advised I was 3cm dilated and she could feel baby's head, there was no water around his head. I was then fitted with a cannula and given antibiotics and was told someone would be with me soon. Then the shift changed and I didn't see anyone for a long time. A student midwife came in and just hooked me back up to the monitor without advising why or what was happening with me being taken to Labour & Delivery. 3 hours later I was still on the monitor. I had not been given anything to eat the entire time I was there or offered any water. I called for someone and asked if I could be unhooked from the monitor to go to the toilet. The student midwife unhooked me and I asked if I had to be put back on it or if someone could tell me what was happening with me being sent to labour and delivery . They advised they didn't know and said they would send a senior in. The senior midwife came in and basically said they didn't know why I thought I would be going to L&D when I was barely contracting. I asked if they had any handover notes from the previous shift and they said they would go and look for them. After finding them, they advised I couldn't go to L&D as they were too busy and I would have to be transferred to a ward as baby's heart rate had evened back out. It was around midnight by this time and I had been there since lunchtime. There was such a clear lack of any communication and any understanding or sympathy for a first time mother who had been told her baby's heart rate was dropping.

  10. Review titled Terrible follow up to cancer

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anthony Skerratt - Posted on 14 April 2023

I first started with losing a lot of blood from my private, I have had a CT scan a MRI and a pet scan this has been going on since October 2022 it is now April 2023 and I have been told that I have cancer and the doctors must discuss my procedure, this has taken close on 8 weeks to be told that it has spread a lot faster than they anticipated, after 6 months of being told nothing it is no wonder that it is bad. I do not know if I am going to live or die as no one has told me anything. The service that I have had from urology is absolutely disgusting, all that I get is that someone will get back to me which I get nothing. I am It is like living on a time bomb as I have been told that I could have to go to Birmingham or Manchester hospital for the operation but was told this 6 weeks ago
