Review titled Feels like the staff are family
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Olivia Meagher - Posted on 13 May 2024
There is not enough praise in the world to give to these exceptional breast care staff. I have undergone a double mastectomy with reconstruction and have felt so looked after and cared for. My surgeon has done such an incredible procedure, she is considerate, meticulous and exceptional at her job. There are only good things to be heard about her incredible work and I couldn’t be happier to have had the opportunity for her to do my procedure. The nurses are all so friendly, one has been holding my hand through the difficult parts of my appointments and been standing by my side supporting me which is more than I could have hoped for, as I was so scared and apprehensive about my appointments and what they entailed. I had appointments before and after my surgery with a clinical psychologist who massively helped me throughout my journey that had previously with other hospitals been difficult. I would not be where I am today without her support and understanding. If you are undergoing any breast treatment Guildford is outstanding. I drive over an hour to go to Guildford and after how I have been treated, would drive 5 hours more if it meant i could choose them. Thankyou to the staff you are amazing and I will forever remember your clinic and how you have changed my life.

I spent time in the Short Stay Surgery Unit and from the minute I walked in to the time I was collected following surgery every member of staff was fantastic. The receptionist on her welcome to me, the lovely nurse's in pre-surgical wards, the wonderful team in theatre, the recovery ward nurses and the nurses who looked after me post recovery. You were all fantastic and I thank each and everyone one of you

Review titled Amazing work by A&E and ICU
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Catriona Ferris - Posted on 20 May 2024
Great work by the A&E nurses and in particular Critical Care nurse in A&E to support my friend's care. The Critical Care Nurse was amazing and her duty of care over the past 48 hours has been amazing. She came regularly to see my friend even when she was in ICU - outside of her normal role but because she cared and is amazing. Overall experience in A&E and ICU was amazing. Pass on my thanks and praise.

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 June 2024
I received regular and sympathetic advice from the insomnia team .They set me up with a regime which was tough but over a period of 6 or 7 months improved my sleep patterns considerably . I am now getting good Sleep most of the time . I am also able to fall back on the advice and videos provided if I need some reminders . I would recommend anybody to work with the insomnia team if they get the chance .

Review titled SDEC care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Kinga - Posted on 18 May 2024
I just wanted to thank the whole team at SDEC, from receptionists, to nurses and doctors for the care I have received after coming in with a severe tooth abscess. This painful experience was so much better because of the care I have received whilst there. I have witnessed a few of the nurses being faced with difficult and even rude patient and they all handled it beautifully. The overall organisation as well as professionalism was amazing. Thank you to the whole team for making me feel looked after, and most importantly resolving my issue. Incredible team.

Review titled Great practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Funda Egemen - Posted on 23 May 2024
All doctors, nurses and staff took care of me very well. They’ve done all the tests I’ve needed, explained every step I went through, answered all my questions patiently and friendly. I know it’s their profession and job, but I felt more than welcome and in good hands myself. I’ve trusted them and felt safe that it’s so important when you’re sick and staying in a hospital. Even the food and tea service, cleaning of the environment was perfect. It sounds so weird to say, but I had good time there and even made friends. :)

My grandson had to have a MRI scan on monday afternoon he is 6 years old. Just wanted to say how kind caring and professional your staff are in the MRI scanning department. They were so good with him and also kept my daughter calm as she was anxious as well.

Review titled Fantastic care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Danny - Posted on 11 May 2024
I have had two visits for endoscopy and one for oesphogeal manometry and 24hr ph monitoring over the last few months. The care I have received has been first class. From regular contact to ensure attendance (a shame this is required) to slick, timely care with no delays whilst at the hospital, I could not fault the care I received. Castle was spotless and evidence of a team who take pride in their job. The nursing staff that carried out the majority of my procedures were all excellent (and much less intrusive than any registrar that tried!) Sense of humour, care, compassion and empathy were all present and, for someone who hates being a patient, they helped immensely. To top it all off, I was in Outpatients 3 for 7 mins to have the tube removed after 24 hours. Thank you everybody.

Review titled Amazing, caring staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Chloe - Posted on 18 May 2024
I had a 9 day stay on Bramshott ward and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Every single Healthcare Assistant, Nurse, Doctor, Phlebotomist, Anaesthetist, Cleaner, Physiotherapist, Porter, Kitchen Staff or Student nurse I saw were professional, caring, kind, friendly, smiley and made me feel so safe and cared for. The autism and learning difficulty team were also great at making things easier for me during my stay. As much as I desperately wanted to get home I was sad to leave the staff as well because they were all just so lovely. I felt very safe and lucky to be in their hands. There was nothing that could have been done better and it absolutely felt like I was given the best care I could have received. I was a patient with complex needs but everyone was understanding and respectful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything everyone did for me and I really hope this review gets shared with the staff. I can't say it was 1 particular person either the standard of care was consistent throughout and even when I witnessed some patients giving staff a hard time they remained calm, professional and caring. You are all absolute gems!
