  1. Review titled Caring and professional staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 May 2024

I was very apprehensive about attending hospital for a hysteroscopy, but the doctor who carried out the procedure and the nurses who cared for me, went out of their way to make me feel at ease. The whole procedure was much less painful and traumatic than I was expecting. Thank you to all the staff who helped make my experience such a positive one.

  2. Review titled Excellent Doctor and Staff

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 May 2024

Arrived at hospital to find my appointment had been cancelled without me being informed. Reception was lovely and apologised for the error and went to try to sort it out. She returned and informed me that the doctor would see me and again apologised. The service I received from the doctor and the HCAs was above anything I could have hoped for. She was reassuring and explained everything to me. I could not have asked for more, especially during this uncertain time. The only negative was in regards to the Appointment Centre, who had not informed me of my cancelled appointment - clearly work needs to be done here.

  3. Review titled Colonoscopy procedure

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dave Turner - Posted on 14 April 2024

Had a routine colonoscopy. I opted for no sedative or gas, and as such was able to enjoy the caring, and informative procedure. Consultants and nurses were really nice, and kept me very informed about what was going on, making use of big screen monitor by my side. Strange to say it was a very enjoyable afternoon. Everyone I encountered was lovely, starting with reception. You are in good hands here!

  4. Review titled Great Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Every step of my appointment was just great, arrived at the Radiology dept and was guided by the most professional, helpful team you could have asked for. Was put at ease on a day that could so easily have been the opposite. This dept illustrate just what we think off as the best of the NHS.

  5. Review titled Caring, kind, friendly & very thorough

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Heather Hagel - Posted on 30 April 2024

Everyone was so lovely and caring. My Daughter in Law was seen promptly & kept updated of the results and process. They were very thorough & explained everything fully. A lovely volunteer came round & offered us drinks & sandwiches. Members of the ‘breast team’ came down & spoke to us & reassured us of each test & step they were taking. Superb service, we feel very lucky to be so well cared for & informed.

  6. Review titled Orthopaedic excellence at the Royal Surrey Hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter J. Stage esquire - Posted on 24 April 2024

As an A&E Sunday admission with complications from highly successful Hip/Spinal related surgery in a London teaching hospital (on the previous Wednesday). The Royal Surrey Orthopaedic team (from consultant at the top to the Junior doctors at the bottom) dealt with the case with commendable and patient reassuring , skill , professionalism and clinical judgement. Their approach and decisions could and cannot be faulted. They were also proved to be sound by the end result. An excruciatingly painful gastric flare up was speedily dealt with and a 7 day discharge resulted on the following Wednesday. A stabilised patient left ready for his continuing hip/spinal care elsewhere -completely pain free. Of particular importance was the fact that the cautious discharge time scale adopted allowed , inter alia, less usual , potentially causative factors , to be suggested , investigated and isolated. This has the potential of great value to the patients final outcome.

  7. Review titled Humbling experience - yet admirable

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Doug Nye - Posted on 08 April 2024

Having been admitted as a medical emergency on Easter Sunday may I express my total admiration not only for the pace, attention and care I received in AEU and on Clandon Ward, but also emphasise my awed reaction to an episode witnessed one night in the latter. At all levels the staff dealing with me could not have been more caring, reassuring, friendly and efficient. The lengthy night-time drama to which I became a reluctant witness then demonstrated to me truly humbling levels of concern, commitment, competence and above all human tenderness displayed by a unified and well-led team - average age at a guess mid-twenties? The NHS takes a terrible kicking from all manner of media. As a pressman myself I have for years been acutely aware of non-specialist journalists' thirst for any negative story they can latch onto. Having declared this 'interest', trust me, I really must thank all management and staff for the awesome level of care from which I have benefited - and for the human concern, sensitivity and tenderness that I witnessed within Clandon Ward.

  8. Review titled Smooth process and looked after well

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2024

Called 111 with a pain in my right calf and a booked in to A&E to arrive in the next hour. Once there seen for triage and vitals within 10 minutes, then further nurse examination, then doctor and then a scan to complete diagnosis. Ultra sound scanner came back from his lunch early to fit me in that day - much appreciated. Then got a plastic boot and ready to go. Even got a lunch bag while waiting. It took a number of hours but was carried out efficiently and by friendly staff and looked after well. Many thanks to the team who looked after me and diagnosed the problem and solution within hours.

  9. Review titled Dad left in soaking urine

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 April 2024

My Dad was admitted to A and E a couple of days ago (April 2024) with a suspected urine infection. Bloods were taken and all clear. No urine successfully taken but suspected infection so antibiotics administered. Upon collection by ambulance guys to take my Dad back to The Home, they were appalled at the fact he was soaked through with Urine and the staff were very unhelpful at wanting to get him changed and dry before the guys took him. The ambulance guys changed my Dad themselves. Astonishing considering he was admitted for a urine infection !! Written by a very unhappy 52 year old child

I just had an MRI scan and all of the staff were professional and supportive. I felt anxious beforehand but the staff were so kind and I felt really looked after. Both the people conducting the scan and the gentleman who looked after me before the scan were great. Thank you!
