Review titled Couldn't recommend more
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Phoebe Dobke - Posted on 24 September 2024
I went to an emergency GP appointment on Sunday, then A&E for about 8 hours waiting for a bed and finally to the Milbridge ward the following day. Being admitted and the discharge process were quite long but all staff were amazing and very apologetic about the wait and conditions in A&E (especially as I'm pregnant). Although I didn't get much sleep that night the service I received was amazing. This only improved once I was moved to the Milbridge ward, staff were so kind and caring with incredible patience for some more difficult patients on the ward. Such a shame our hospitals are so underfunded as the staff really do deserve better, it's amazing they can provide such a high quality of care considering their resources.

Review titled Such a wonderful experience
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Dani Lewis - Posted on 30 September 2024
I wanted to send a message praising how wonderful lady who gave me my recent vaccines for whooping cough and rsv during pregnancy. Your ai checker says I can’t include her name but the initials are cf. Not only did she remember who I was, but she went out of her way to be kind and explain exactly what the vaccines were for and what it meant for me and my baby. When I mentioned that I wasn’t sure where the maternity unit was in the hospital, she went out of her way to show me exactly where I would need to go and what would happen on “the big day”. We spoke about my ultrasound and came to check in with me afterwards to see if I was having a boy or girl and celebrated with me afterwards. Such a wonderful member of staff. She’s an asset to your team. Thank you.

Review titled Wonderful Phlebotomy Team
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 September 2024
Despite being incredibly busy on Monday 2 September, the team of 3 phlebotomists were so kind to my daughter who suffered from low blood pressure and low oxygen levels following her blood test. Everyone was friendly and patient (especially considering the clinic was overwhelmed and staff were stressed) - arranging transfer to A&E and making sure there was a hypo kit available (my daughter has Type 1 diabetes). Must also mention the lovely staff in Paediatric A&E who were thorough, good humoured and speedy! Thank you to everyone.

Review titled Great oncology response in A&E
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Rachel Rowland - Posted on 21 September 2024
We arrived at 8pm on an extremely busy night in a&e. The staff handled our case with the urgency and respect a Stage 4 cancer patient needs to feel safe and seen to. We were kept isolated, given a bed within an hour and antibiotics as soon as possible afterwards. Despite the chaos around us the team handled us brilliantly. Thank you.

I had a procedure at Endoscopy Unit on 27/9/2024 I arrived at the Endoscopy unit feeling anxious and concerned. I was seen immediately and there followed such care by the entire staff. I was made to feel comfortable, everything was explained to me, my anxiety quickly disappeared. The unit is bright, cheerful, so along with caring staff you soon find yourself relaxing. Thank you to all the staff for making my experience at the Royal Surrey such a pleasant one.

Review titled Sleep Therapy Treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jeremy - Posted on 16 September 2024
Although naturally somewhat sceptical of the benefits at the start of the programme, there were several improvements in my overall sleep pattern over the length of the treatment. There were a number of useful and easily adopted techniques to add my sleeping. It makes you think about what works for you and can be included in you sleep preparation.

I attended A and E on Sunday 29th afternoon and was extremely impressed with the service that was provided. We were checked in very quickly and then seen straight away to be assessed for a ruptured Achilles. The nurse practitioner was amazing. She was very compassionate and knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions and let me know the next steps. I was quickly given an x-ray to confirm there was no fracture and then was put in a splint. I was shown how to use the blood thinning injections as well as the crutches. I felt very reassured and well cared for.
