    Rheumatology review. Really efficient. I checked in and blood pressure etc was done straight away. Five minutes later I saw the rheumatology nurse. Really supportive. Explained blood results clearly and answered my questions regarding medication in detail. I had a couple of concerns that were making me a bit anxious, but I was listened to and able to talk these through. The nurse I spoke to was lovely.

    Very member of staff provided excellent care after I suffered a stroke. And thanks to their quick intervention I have made a good recovery.

    Don't bother going to A&E at Stepping Hill if you're actually ill. Stub your toe and they're all over you but treat actually ill patients like dirt. Didn't listen to what I had to say, gave me roughly 1/3 of an examination then told me to chase up Gastro referral with my GP - I'm already under the Surgeons for this problem. They should have got a Dr down to see me but they couldn't be bothered. The only person who cared was the receptionist in xray. Give Stepping Hill A&E 0/10

    quiet a & e only 2 patients waiting and no ambulances queuing but not seen in 1 1/2 hours and no apology.

    Had a phlebotomy appointent (blood test) booked for 9:15 am. The place was unmanned and all locked up, as were the adjacent buildings, so no one to ask. The main reception desk was also unmanned. Wasted journey.

  7. Review titled Great care in A & E despite massive demand

    I hadn't had to use the A & E department for many years until recently. After being triaged and seen by several members of staff I was given a place in the main bays for continued treatment and observation. I stayed overnight and saw how busy this 24 hour operation is but how efficiently the caring staff work to treat all in their care. As well as the high volume of walk in patients I was among they have ambulances arriving with more, including at least 2 covid admissions that I saw. That triggered an obviously well rehearsed protocol, clearing the relevant areas of all non-essential staff. Thank you to all the staff (consultants, doctors, nurses, care assistants) that got me back on my feet.

    My son had an appointment to see the ENT specialist, we were seen 5 minutes before his appointment time and within 15 minutes my son had been examined and had his nose cauterised - the service provided was fantastic and very much appreciated. Thanks so much

    I would just like to give praise and thanks to all the staff on ward D1, they really do not get the recognition deserved. Whilst there I noticed they would miss breaks just to staff shortage, and nothing was too much to do for any patient.

    Last July I saw my Consultant and he put me on list for a joint injection in theatre. Rang today (8 Months!!!!later) to be told they can't even give me a rough guess about when I'm going to be seen. Been advised to go back to my GP - no point doing that as I'm under the Hospital!!! Guess if I had money they'd have had me in the week after Clinic
