  2. Review titled Not apprioprite

Rated 1 star out of 5

Not the right place to be sending someone with Alcohol Problems, Anxiety and Mental Health problems, I was having sweats and withdrawal problems but still had to wait for seven hours to be seen, my panic got worse and I was having to self medicate to curb the panic, in the end they were just too busy this should have been dealt with by someone else, I do not blame the staff they have to treat life and death patients, but you cannot control panic attacks and In the end i was very distressed, the tablets they gave me relieved it but they were unable to prescribe me any to help my withdrawal, I need to stop to save my liver and pancreas but I am having to do it without help, if I stop apruptly I get potentially life threatening side effects where are the Alcohol nurses and Crisis Team? that is who I need.

  5. Review titled Great treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lana Constable - Posted on 22 September 2022

I attended A&E with my mother who had injured her arm. She was assessed, sent for x-rays, reassured and sent home. She said the three x-ray girls were absolutely fantastic, friendly, professional, and when she was assessed in A&E, although she was extremely anxious, she was made to feel at ease and reassured.

  6. Review titled Surgical assessment

    by Jolex93 - Posted on 09 September 2022

After waiting four hours in urgent care, my daughter was sent up to surgical assessment. No one greeted us when we arrived and after waiting for an hour, we eventually found a member of staff who told us to sit in the waiting room. Basically, we were left for another two hours. Not one member of staff could tell us when my daughter would be seen. This was late at night and we had had nothing to drink or eat. Eventually the lights went off in the corridor and we were left sitting in a side waiting room. We went to look for a member of staff and couldn't find anyone. So we decided to leave, as we were obviously not going to get seen and could have been left in the waiting room all night. My daughter had severe stomach pains. I know they are busy, but not one member of staff could tell us anything and what was the plan. We were totally ignored and felt like were a burden to them. They were not interested, lack of communication and staff that seen my daughter as a inconvenience. Why send patients to surgical assessment if they are not even going to acknowledge you? I thought the whole purpose is so that they can assess patients. To just ignore patients and leave them sitting in a waiting room is not acceptable. Shocking lack of care, very worrying and in my opinion, the fact that we just had to leave without being seen is negligence.

Surgical day unit - told to come for 6am. Still sat waiting 2 hours later while the staff stand around the admin desk chatting!!! Not happy why tell you to go for a certain time to leave you sat for hours on end no updates or nothing. Disgraceful.

  9. Review titled Ward 41 North Tees General Hospital.

by Aswad - Posted on 12 August 2022

Absolutely outstanding care for our Dad in his final week of life. They looked after him but also us. They treated him with dignity and compassion. All staff were respectful and they let us stay with him, providing a bed in his side room. The Oasis suite was amazing, letting us rest and recover without having to go home and back again. Thank you so much to every member of staff. To be able to do what they did under the immense pressure that they are under is truly remarkable.
