Attended AE this morning with septic tonsillitis. Waiting times were better than expected. Cannulated quick and had bloods done. Received IV steroids and IV antibiotics. Was looked after when getting treated by all nurses and Drs. The catering staff made sure i was offered food and hot drinks. It’s a busy time of year and no one enjoys working Xmas specially when you have families yourself. And everyone was in good spirits. I honestly can’t ever say a bad word about Whiston. Always have been looked after. I am a medical professional myself and know how stressful the winter pressures can be. But 10/10 for everything I feel so much better and hopefully I can enjoy Xmas with my children now. Thankyou all xx

I visited this hospital recently and found the staff very pleasant and helpful also the doctor who saw me I was referred by my doctor keep up the good work

I recently had a mastectomy and diep reconstruction done by two consultants. Plastics and breast cancer specialists. I've never had such kind , caring doctors before. They both spent time explaining all the options and listened to what i wanted and why. They never rushed me, even when it must have put them into their own time after hours. My surgery ended at 9pm on a friday and they both individually came in on Saturday morning to check on me on their day off. How amazing is that? Also, all the other doctors and staff on ward 3a were professional and caring . I've seen so many doctors at so many hospitals this past year with having cancer, chemo and previous surgeries and all have been efficient and kind, but I cant put into words how this team felt different and more focused on me as an individual. They are worth their weight in gold. I could cry when I think of their kindness. Thank you to the breast cancer team and plastic surgery team.

I would like to thank the Doctor and all the Amazing caring staff on the Cardiac diognostic centre I was a very nervous patient all of the staff were very understanding and helped me through I am so very grateful to have been under there care I appreciated all of you thankyou Happy Chritmas to you all . I arrived today at the ct scan department (via the a&e scan as advised) the lady on reception was absolutely lovely!! She tried to book me in but advised me I was at the wrong hospital... My bad. She was so nice about it and called the other hospital to let them know I was so my way, however she managed to get me an appointment at whiston hospital to save me a journey. I wish I caught her name because she was just so lovely and kind. Thank you so much!

Awful follow up experience following an MRI - was told I would be contacted - nothing received and was unable to speak to anyone - could not get through on the phone. No other way of contacting ENT dept. Still no idea of outcome of MRI. Very poor practice indeed!

I was admitted to Whiston hospital on 19/12/23 due to a gastrointestinal problem. The staff were so kind and caring. I couldn’t have asked for anymore help and support. From the hospital porters to the HCA’s, nurses and doctors were amazing and work so hard. Thank you so much.

Cannot praise this hospital enough from what I have seen in the last 12 hours and ongoing… just to see the staff all welcome each other, think of each and work so well, with what they have and can achieve. Just the team effort and community spirit! It is an absolute joy to watch as they are treating my daughter.

Sadly this was the third time I found myself needing EPU care within the last year. The nurses within this EPU are nothing but spectacular. Attending this department is nothing but devastating but the care given at such a difficult time is second to none. Communication, attention to detail and follow up has all been brilliant. I hope that I will not need follow up care from EPU again but throughout a terrible year, the help of this unit has guided me through some of the most difficult of days.

I was recently in ward 4f for knee surgery. The ward staff were professional and efficient, the theatre team were reassuring and kind. The post operative care was excellent. I would like to praise all grades of staff for their politeness and excellent care. I felt in very safe hands.
