  1. Review titled Treated with kindness and respect

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 September 2022

I recently attended Worthing A & E with someone who was very emotionally distressed. We were treated with kindness from the moment we entered from the Receptionist to the Mental Health team we then waited to see. I was particularly touched by the Health worker/Nurse (not sure which) who went to great pains to ensure we were both seated comfortably and making sure we had a hot drink before he went on his break. A small act of kindness that was very much appreciated. We then saw the appropriate mental health professional in a reasonable time frame. At a time when the NHS is so stretched it was lovely to see the person I was with so well cared for - thankyou

I spent 24 hours in Zone D of the Emergency Floor and was most impressed by the staff: highly professional, caring, attentive, positive and cheerful: the NHS at its best. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Satisfactory ending to stressful life episode

by Lord Terrarz - Posted on 18 August 2022

Urgent referral to Worthing Neurology dept for investigation of suspected TIA. Letter received within a couple of days confirming appointment and clear summary of the tests to be carried out, their approximate timings: a primary and final conversation with the consultant. Every process went to plan, save a neck scan which couldn't be conducted because of staff sickness. TIA couldn't be proved therefore satisfactory ending to stressful life episode. The sister accompanying the consultant was excellent in every way, as was the consultant who was friendly, forthcoming and who explained clearly to me my condition.

  4. Review titled Terrific Hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Fiona Burness - Posted on 26 August 2022

I’ve just recently returned home from a week in hospital and I have to say that the care I received couldn’t have been better. Lovely staff - nurses, doctors, catering and cleaning, all kind, caring and friendly. These people are under tremendous pressure on a daily basis and it is humbling to see how the cope so cheerfully with it all. Thank you for making my stay so comfortable and for sorting out all my symptoms, I feel better than I have in ages.

  5. Review titled Lovely Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Miss Katharine Lawrence - Posted on 22 August 2022

I was referred to Worthing Hospital for a cystocopy. I was very nervous, but the staff here were fantastic. The nurse that was the first to deal with me was great, she was so kind and made me relax. The Dr I saw was also lovely, and the assistant cystoscopist! It was an unsuccessful visit, purely my body not the staff. They couldn't have been more kind. It upsets me when people moan about the NHS, I have had a great service for which I am happy to pay my taxes for :-)

  6. Review titled CT Scan - Great staff start to finish

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 August 2022

Procedure explained perfectly from start to finish. Despite it being non-invasive you can still feel apprehension and the staff quickly spot that and are excellent at explaining things in a way that make you feel at ease. A particular thank you to the nurse who takes care of you before and then after the scan.

  7. Review titled So grateful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jo Sharp - Posted on 09 September 2022

I wish to thank paramedics, Resuss, High Dependency Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Enhanced Surgical Care Unit, Clapham and Chanctonbury wards (and of course, theatre staff) who saved my husband's life. He was admitted with a perforated bowel and was also diagnosed with crohn's disease and a few other underlying disorders. From dialling 999 through to his discharge after 12 days in Worthing Hospital, we cannot praise all of the wonderful, kind, caring, patient and hard working staff, who cared for him. Thank you NHS Worthing.
