Review titled 111 Fail - No record of 3 year olds appointment
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Lara Baker - Posted on 01 January 2024
111 gave time and location for an urgent treatment centre appointment (3.5 hours on) for my 3 year old daughter. On arrival to the urgent treatment centre they had no record of her and we got sent to a&e. She has been in so much pain over past couple of hours, we've been coaching her through saying it's going to be okay etc. Now has to wait in A&E for an additional time period. What is the point in 111? Shocked that a simple booking task wasn't completed, especially when regarding a small child.

Review titled Very disappointed with Bramber Ward
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 June 2024
My actual birth in the delivery suite was wonderful however, once on Bramber ward I was appalled. I gave birth around midnight and was taken onto Bramber at around 4am. I was not given a new gown even though mine was soiled and sweaty from labour, a bed bath was not given like I was told it would have been (could not to do it myself due to my epidural). When I woke up in the morning, my bed, my inco sheet and I was covered in blood both still from labour and my nipples from breastfeeding. I had difficulty breastfeeding and was told my a member of staff to persevere with hand expressing, pumping and getting my baby to latch however never supported with any of it. My baby was forced upon my breast and couldn't latch correctly, I was given an electric pump with the wrong shield size and when I asked for help as I had never used one before, no one came. I was told to hand express through the pain and exhaustion of it all and if I would have to stay in that ward until I could do it. The attitude of this nursery nurse was disgusting and made me feel like a failure. When I explained to staff I had the beginnings of a pressure sore due to the position of monitoring and labour for days, i was told "no". As an ex carer and someone who has health with sores on others, I can assure you, it was a yes. I asked for medihoney and I was given one sachet which my husband had to apply for me. The staff didn't know anything about Gestational Diabetes and I was being told conflicting information for two days about my health and what criteria was needed for me to be discharged. The staff on Bramber ward were horrible, they didn't care for the mothers at all and they didn't help with the babies either. They just had to tick their boxes and sit back down. If I have another child, I'll be going to another hospital because no one should be treated the way women are on that ward. Unfortunately, I know I am not the only woman to experience this either and it's so upsetting.

Review titled Unfortunately poor communication
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Sarah Scott - Posted on 04 December 2023
Thursday waiting for surgery which taking questions, was informed my surgery would not be going ahead, due the hospital error. Having the wrong information about what surgery I was having. The doctor informed me he would call me that day and I heard nothing. Have heard nothing every since leaving me to chase this up on my own. Leaves me feeling very frustrated and fearful with my confidence in their ability.

Review titled Excellent
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Dollie - Posted on 31 December 2023
On my first visit in Dec I told the doctors and nurses that I have anxiety issues and they treated me accordingly and put me at ease. They were all excellent, caring and respectable, they talked me through the procedure I was having and said that I needed another appointment for further investigation. The second visit a couple of weeks later with a different doctor and nurses was again excellent. On both occasions I was treated with respect and care as a person not just another patient. 5*****

Review titled Fast, thorough, friendly.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by G Allen - Posted on 21 December 2023
I attended yesterday at around 17:00 for a laceration to my palm that needed 5 stitches to close. It took around 2½ hours from arriving to leaving which, at my age of 46, is a record time for an A&E visit! Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful and this all took place during the recent doctor's strike. I didn't need to see a doctor but regardless the service I received was faultless and very appreciated.

Review titled Fantastic caring and professional service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jeremy Le Sueur - Posted on 02 November 2023
I attended the Cardiac Catheter team on Wednesday 1st November for an ablation procedure. From the very start the whole service was so reassuring, professional, and caring. The nursing and theatre teams and the consultant set out clearly what would happen through the procedure, making time to see that I understood the various stages and was reassured. Nothing was too much trouble for them with the whole service so well organised, professional, and positive. You could see how busy and hard working the team were but from a patient viewpoint the service was so personal and supportive. Thank you to all the team. I felt very fortunate to be in your care.

Review titled So impressed with the sensitivity, care and skill
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jasmine - Posted on 22 November 2023
I had a procedure today with the Gynae team, and was very anxious prior due to a previous experience at my GP. The team today were everything I could have asked for. They listened, comforted and reassured me. They explained everything clearly and made me feel as though I was genuinely cared for and loved. I can't sing their praises highly enough. Thank you so much, you've all gone above and beyond and I'm grateful more than you know.
