  1. Review titled Easy colonoscopy

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Astrid - Posted on 22 October 2023

Every aspect of my care was first class. The consultant who carried out the procedure was excellent, talked me through everything and calmed my nerves. A sedation was not necessary, I got some pain killer instead that worked perfectly for me. There was nothing undignified or embarassing. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Many thanks to all of you.

  2. Review titled Very disappointing doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 October 2023

I walked into the A&E department after having been referred by someone from 111 at 8pm. I saw the triage nurse after an hour and she told me to wait to see a Doctor. I find myself 4 hours later still waiting to be seen by anyone with countless people coming in and out. Finally gone 1am I am seen by a doctor who belittled me being there with a laugh and said she wasn’t sure why she was bothering to do anything as it would have been fine. After a very long time waiting having being told to by two healthcare professionals it is an utter shame to have had that treatment after a long evening.

  3. Review titled Colonoscopy

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Other than being left for an unknown time after I changed, every aspect of my care was the first class. The consultant who carried out the procedure was excellent, the pain despite no anaesthetic, although it was offered, the backup nurses gave a great atmosphere so that I would not feel tense. Many thanks to all of you.

  4. Review titled Welcoming professional hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

10/10 to Yeovil accident and emergency I attended today for a suspected blood clot in my leg following surgery. All staff from Receptionist, Triage nurse, Staff nurse on the Orthopaedic section and attending Orthopaedic Practitioner were reassuring and supportive and answered my questions. I need to return for a Doppler test tomorrow but that is the fault of the current government through underfunding that it was closed today. All staff were welcoming and friendly.

  5. Review titled Good experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Patricia - Posted on 26 August 2023

My husband has had to visit the AEC dep't four times over the last few days and I just wanted to say how kind and respectful every single person we came into contact were. Considering how busy the dep't is, patients were treated as soon as possible and greeted with a smile and a caring attitude. Thank you.

  7. Review titled Very quick and easy

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I came for an initial investigation into a potential breast lump. Was advised I might have to wait for up to 3 hours, but was seen and out again within the hour. Everyone was very pleasant, polite and friendly, and luckily my lump was not cancerous. Was reassured, and extremely relieved. This is a great service, which we are lucky to have.

I had ear surgery and reconstruction on 7th July and found the team to be very caring and efficient. I've just had my stitches out and am so pleased and amazed with the result due to the great skill of the surgeon. Thank you to all involved!

  10. Review titled Extraordinary and professional

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Celia - Posted on 05 July 2023

On referral from an out of hours health centre I attended A&E at Yeovil Hospital 10.00pm on the same Saturday night as Glastonbury Festival. Yeovil Hospital was 1st hospital for all Glastonbury festival patients. I was a walk in case. All members of the treatment team I met were extraordinary, kind and professional. I eventually saw the Doctor at about 5am. There was no hint from this Doctor of the sheer volume of patients they must have already seen, the Dr gave me full attention and carefully explained all that was happening. I also received excellent follow up support from the Radiology department that night and the next day. Please pass on my grateful thanks to all, Health Centre team, A&E team, Radiology team for the most extraordinary service in the busiest of circumstances. Thank you for being there. xxxx
