    I was looked after extremely well, they took care to give me all of the information, exercises and treatment I required right up to my last visit, I can't thank them enough for the treatment I received.

    Three different physios seen throughout treatments so there was no continuity. First physio gave a hamstring diagnosis and relevant exercises despite me saying it was pain from the top of my calf muscle. Exercises were found to be useless for my problem so no improvement was seen. Second physio changed my exercises after I told him the previous diagnosis was inaccurate. These exercises were much better for my particular problem and a slight improvement was noticed. Third physio told me contract with NHS was closing and I would be signed off. He gave me a deep muscle massage on the area I said was the problem which was very painful but actually gave me temporary relief from pain for the first time. After this deep massage success and sign off I did my own treatment using the previously recommended step and the calf roller exercises but added using a tens machine and also purchased a massager to deep massage the affected area. The problem has since improved greatly after several sessions using the tens machine and massager. It was a shame I wasted so much time performing the wrong exercises for my particular problem but the fact that I had regular access to physiotheraphy through the NHS was greatly appreciated.

    We're sorry to hear that you were seen by three different physiotherapists and that the initial round of exercises was not effective. We do aim to maintain continuity of care with the same clinician but this isn't always possible, for example when we need to cover staff absence.     Awful conflicting advice, never saw the same person twice, couldn't make one appointment, I gave plenty of notice but still referred me back to my GP, would like to see a GP about it but can't get in, whenever I try they just call back and refer me back to physio and nothing is getting done, some days I can hardly walk because I'm in so much pain buy nobody cares.

  5. Review titled Effective personalised programme

    My physiotherapist did a detailed initial assessment and then considerable research to find the best programme for me. Despite being initially sceptical and a bit horrified at the amount of time I needed to put in, I found that it worked well. I have been pain and drug free since my treatment.

    Following a car accident I was sent to Ascenti for physio. The physio himself was very keen and helpful. On one occasion I had Covid symptoms and cancelled within 24 hours, as on their website it said to do so. I was told they would only allow this once. So I’m obviously not allowed to get ill twice! I challenged this and I was given utter confusion by Ascenti who didn’t even know what their policy was, even though it headlined their website. I spoke to my physio who told me he has lots of admin issues with Ascenti and it didn’t surprise him. This morning, 1 hour before my appointment Ascenti ring me and cancel it due to physio sickness, how hypocritical. They were then unable to rebook at a time I usual have and so I’m now without physio. Absolute disgrace, don’t use them is my advice.

    Over 12 months now and havn't had any help, I have spoken to a few consultants from ascenti about my severe hip arthritis and talked about steroid injections to help with pain and postponing surgery, I would simply like to know if you have the authority to refer for this procedure? if not i need hip replacement, I was waiting for a virtual appointment 5th June 5.30, I didn't receive one? Heard nothing since?
