Just had an OCT test at CHEC Milton Keynes, unexpectedly experienced a very outstanding clinic service. Very very nice and friendly staff, and the test was done in a very professional way. Highly recommended.

Review titled possible misdiagnosis of high eye ball pressure
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Roderick McMillan - Posted on 02 December 2024
At CHEC slough, I had what seemed a cursory check on my eye ball pressure. The optician used a pipet to blow air on to my eyeballs just once each time and based on visual observation from that, diagnosed I had high eye pressure and I needed to take Monopost eye drops for the rest of my life. Later during a routine eye test at Windsor Vision Express, they used a big machine to do several puffs of air and diagnosed me with normal eye ball pressure. I then arranged a test at CHEC Battersea in November 2024 and they used a hand held device to give my multiple puffs of air in less than a second. The optician said I had normal eye ball pressure, and he also said 2 tests of eye ball pressure spread over several days should be done before diagnosing high eye ball pressure.

Review titled Appalling
Rated 1 star out of 5

At the first appointment I was treated in a very cold manner. At the second appointment I was booked in for treatment only to be told half an hour later I couldn’t have the treatment. The reception staff had no clue about the protocol. The third appointment was fine, asides from the fact the dr kept raising her voice at me even though my hearing is good. It’s extremely difficult to get into the building. It’s not easily accessible. It’s impossible to get in with a wheelchair unless you bring someone to help. The staff will not open the door for you. I witnessed a man trying to get out of the building but the staff would not get up and assist him, this was done by a member of the public. I witnessed a lady fall after her appointment and a member of the public helped. The staff don’t ensure patients get back to their seats or get to reception after their appointment, they promptly close the door on them. A huge disappointment. The

Review titled Such long waiting time
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 July 2024
My appointment was for the afternoon, however, the hospital called me to ask if I can come earlier during the day. I arrived 10 mins early, but after one hour of waiting, it’s still not my turn. If they don’t have availability, why would they call me to come in? My wife who gave me a lift have other things planned, but because this, she can’t keep her original plans. This is very frustrating and unprofessional!

Review titled Not as good as the NHS
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Keith - Posted on 22 July 2024
Appointment at 10am, ask to attend 30 mins prior to provide details etc. I arrived at 9.30am, around 10.25am I was called in. Staff very friendly, competent, no problem at all. Colonoscopy procedure didn’t commence until approx 11.15, again staff friendly, efficient, competent and all went well. Discharge OK, however when I get home and read the paperwork, it includes a leaflet about banding my piles during the procedure, to my knowledge tiny piles were mentioned to me, however nothing about them being banded. Have I had any piles banded or not? Why was I ask to attend 30 mins before my appointment when you are not seen until much later than even my appointment time? This is my second appointment at CHEC and both times the appointment times were delayed, when I attend the QMC for this procedure (which I have at least twice a year) they are more efficient and one time and quicker.
