    Attempted to contact someone on the phone but unable to as queues too busy. Used the online chat system. Not particularly helpful, long pauses, not explaining what they were doing. No capital letters, not very professional

    Been for 3 appointments for an injiry I had in the past and at times it gets iritated and extremely uncomfortable for a couple days. One, I was not given an answer to why this happens. Two, on my last visit the doctor said was going to prescribe two different eye drops. Turns out he only prescribe one but I had to make calls to this clinic and to my GP to finally get that prescription to the pharmacy, the same happened after the 3 visits where I have to make multiple calls. After calling CHEC to ask if doctor forgot to prescribe me the other eyedrop, then I received a call next morning from a different doctor saying that sometimes that happens referring to my red eye problem and that is fine I only need to use the one, but that was not what I discussed with the other doctor. Third, after my last two visits only a few days after I got the red eye infection 4 days after my visit on the day I was travelling, this was a very uncomfortable trip and my eye got really painful for 2 days. Saying this I dont think it was a coincidence getting this twice again after my visits when the other weeks I was fine, I think it may be due to poor cleanliness of the doctor the equipment or room at CHEC. I have an appointment soon and not sure If I want to go and thinking of going private.

    My first few contacts with CHEC before my cataract op. were good, lovely staff, short waits etc. But things have changed. My operation was botched, I now have damage to my eye, waiting times at follow up appointments have become really long, 2 hours for my last one and the waiting room is so crowded it is hard to find a seat. It is such a pity. The staff are all still lovely, kind and polite, but just so rushed and stressed. I would not recommend CHEC to anyone.

    I visited the Accrington CHEC today for an endoscopy for stomach pains. A was given an appointment very quickly and on the day of the procedure I was treated extremely well by all of the staff. The Receptionists greeted me with a smile and every member of staff from that moment were friendly, helpful and professional. Very highly recommended!

    All staff were very pleasant and helpful - Sheffield branch - Only criticism is there is no provision of food or hot drinks, where patients are there for many hours. Myself and 2 others, from leaving home, to returning, were away approx 8.5 hours to 9 hours, without any food. ( I took some, as was forewarned ). A vending machine might be useful, or making patients aware, when appontments are booked to bring something to eat,

    The appointment came through quickly but unfortunately had to wait over half an hour after appointment time to be seen. Once 'in the system' all went smoothly. The staff were pleasant and considerate. Am grateful to be seen so quickly overall.

    Staff were lovely. However the field vision test machine was broken down so I could not have the test I went in for done. The lady that saw me conducted a couple of other tests instead. Very fast appointment.
