Over a couple of years my macular eye condition has been monitored by the centre in St Albans to which I was referred by my optician and or gp. Through the centre a procedure to remedy a longstanding problem with my eyelids was carried out at a private hospital in London at the expense of the nhs. This proved very successful. My dealings with cheq were by phone and letter. The staff were extremely efficient and obliging, especially when I had to alter the dates of various review events for reasons concerned with other health appointments. Following my last review at St Albans the doctor agreed to discharge me back to the care of my optician. The whole exercise proved a very good experience and I am very grateful.

The staffs were excellent at ilford, the nurses explained my procedure step by step, when I went in the doctor was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. Thank you so much

My wife had a cataract removed 21st January 2024 at the Nottingham branch & it only took 15 minutes & she can see perfectly now. As we're both disabled they even sent a taxi to pick us p & take us home afterwards. Highly recommended

I received through the post appointment confirmation dated 2 5/12/2023 on 4/1/2024 for 3/1/2024. Does this make any sense wasting money to support the royal mail.

I attended an appointment on 24.1.24. Shortly afterwards I received an email to make a further appointment which I did, choosing the same clinic on 29 January but on that morning I received a phone call cancelling this appointment as it was a duplicate. The next day, 30 January, I got a letter from CHEC confirming the appointment on 29 January and today, 31 January have received an identical letter. This is such a waste of your resources and money as well as my time and needs to be corrected by your admin team, please advise me of the action you are taking.

I have just received in the post my appointment for 13 of Jan today is the 17th. I never receive reports after an examination unless I phone and chase Chec for a report. I get several requests to book an appointment even when I have one.

tried to cancel my brothers appointment as hospital suggested but this clinic did not want to cancel the appointment as they would loose money, dont answer phones give you a hard time on their live web chat. Not impressed at all.

Appointment cancelled without reason. Long phone wait. Message says lines open until 6pm. Human who didn’t resolve my cancelled appointment said only open until 5.45.
