    As soon as I arrived I was made to feel at ease. All staff were friendly but professional. They couldn't have been better. I now have no fear in returning to continue my treatment.

    The Chec facility in Accrington is fantastic . Superb staff, amazing facilities and No Waiting Time. I am more nervous going to the dentist than I was going to Chec. The surgery was over before I knew it. As soon as I am allowed I will be having my second eye done. Would highly recommend. Fantastic service

    Hi just received eye apt following optician referral for a clinic in Stratford upon Avon, I live in Worcester 24 miles away! Tried to change apt to local clinic , no way to do this on line, Tried to call chec but was told extremely busy etc and then cut off repeatedly after several minutes waiting. Hope this was just a one off, otherwise service is not fit for purpose Suggestions please?

    The face to face staff were helpful, courteous and knowledgable. However the booking and communication system is extremely poor and inappropriate for people who are having problems with their eye sight. Having had an eye test in June 2023 with my usual opticians I was referred because of concern with my peripheral vision. The optician made it sound like it was serious and that I ran the risk that I would have to stop driving. This was obviously of concern and worry to myself. In a couple of days I received a text message (no other communication) and asked to make an appointment by following a link. The first appointment I could make was 15 September 2023. Unfortunately I had to cancel that appointment and the next available was 17 October 2023. From the optician I was led to believe that I would be having another peripheral vision text at this appointment. However, my eyes were just tested generally and I was to have to go back again for the peripheral vision test. I then returned to the online appointment system and made an appointment for 10 November 2023. I duly attended the appointment and did the test with the expectation that afterwards I would have some indication of the results of the test – if I had a problem with my eyes or not. I was told that I would here from them saying either no problem and we won’t need to see you again or you may need to make another appointment. Not helpful. The following day, 11 November 2023 I received 2 texts asking me to make 2 different appointments. There was no explanation as to why or what the appointments were for. Having already had 2 appointments and not knowing what the further appointments were for I made 2 appointments for 15 November 2023, one half an hour after the first. I would then not need to go away and return another time for the second appointment. Having been told that if there was no problem with my eyes I would not need to return, to then be asked to make 2 further appointments increased my concern and anxiety. I duly attended the first of the 2 appointments on 15 November 2023. Fortunately the doctor quickly said that there was nothing wrong with my eyes, or certainly nothing to worry about, and he didn’t need to see me again. I then explained my frustrating time with the whole booking and lack of information that I’d received. As I expected he said that unfortunately the booking system was out of his hands but that he understood my frustrations. The doctor, once I got to see him, was very helpful and explained everything. It’s the booking and communication that is sadly lacking, stressful and unhelpful to patients. This is coming from someone who is reasonably tech savy and has, and can use a smartphone. Many of your patients unfortunately don’t and can’t. Booking appointments with you must be a nightmare. Please improve and communicate properly with your patients!

    Staff were friendly and helpful ,was made to feel relaxed about the process. The literature was very clear and helpful being able to use the phone is helpful.

    The consulation rooms are very centrally located so easy access by public transport & also car park nearby. Extremely friendly staff who both had time to perform the testing diligently and keep to their booking schedule. Thank you .....
