    The eye care examinations were first class, well explained and understandable. However the booking system is a shambles. At least five text messages variously inviting an appointment to be made, two emails, after making appointment another arrived,via text, a mobile call after appointment a letter arrived after the appointment , given the state of the postal service ,can I suggest that a letter dated and presumable posted the day before is, somewhat ridiculous, given that it includes answers to common questions listed in general faq's The second appointment someone called via landline, anappointment made, but, I continued to receive ,via text, invitations to make an appointment. I attended the second appointment on July 6th This morning July 7th I get, through the post an appointment letter for July 6th. The contact telephone number is useless, there's never anyone to answer. Im fairly certain that technology will be blamed, but surely, somehere, somehow, it can be co-ordinated.     The receptionist I saw was polite and booked me in quite quickly. The lady who checked my eye sight was very professional and explained everything. However, the hand help pressure equipment did not work, she used a different piece of equipment and that also did not work properly so I now have to return twice at a later date. If the equipment worked, I would not have to return and I would have had a diagnosis. It must have been quite embarrassing for her. Moving forward, could the NHS please supply CHEC with equipment that works. Kind regards, Maureen.

    Arrived on time. Only one patient ahead of me. Their appointment finished and they left. My appointment was 25 minutes late and no apology or explanation given. I was then advised I was taking up too much time. Gave details of previous medication tried which had not worked. Clinic tried to give me the same medication again. Was a waste of time. Have tried to contact since to request name of clinician but phone not answered during published opening times. Poor service and not treated with respect. Made me feel like I was wasting their time and shouldn’t have been there. This is a private company given NHS contract. Excepted better. Their contract needs to be reviewed to see if patient experience has been satisfactory.

    I have tried calling but you seem to be constantly unavailable. I have received a letter from you about my up coming appointment, it gives various instructions regarding glasses but nothing about contact lenses which I normally wear. Please can you advise.

    I had a cataract removed july of last year , very successful and the staff were excellent . returned recently this July for for a follow up appointment again staff were excellent t , but have to commend the young receptionist for her friendliness and lovely manner , in which she welcomed and dealt with every patient .a real asset to your company .

    Apart from my first appointment,which was very brief, and consisted of taking a photo of each eye ,my observations are ;1) all appointments have been on time.2)all , all, including the first, have been conducted in a professional manner with personable practioners who easily and clearly explained the tests they were conducting. I travel quite a long way on public transport and foot for my CHEC appointments and leave with the best feeling ; that they were , apart from the first , worthwhile and all of them conducted in an efficient and pleasant atmosphere.

    I attended a routine glaucoma monitoring appointment in July and was expecting that both I and my GP surgery would receive a report in a few weeks as usual. I did not receive any letter and I have since discovered that no letter has been received by the surgery. I have been trying to telephone you for some weeks now but there is no reply. This is very poor. Can I have any confidence that anyone even looked at the results of my appointment if no reports have been sent to me or the surgery?

    I was told The appointment would be roughly 15 mins however this is not the case I was there for 1 hour as were others who only put 1 hour in parking ticket. I feel this should be said at booking and not 15 minutes
