    I Received excellent treatment for my eye procedure and treatment, No waiting. Efficient and kind staff. I Visited four times, would highly recommend this service.

    All the staff were really lovely and so helpful. I was worried about the operation but they were really kind and put me at ease I am so glad I went there and not to a large hospital for the operation.

    Initially I was very impressed with care for macular issue. Appointment for scan and follow up consult within short time. On the whole very pleasant staff. Then blip. Scan appointment was not sent and I tried to contact Preston. One number did not exist and could not get response from the other I found. Consult appointment came through and i kept that. He apologised. Suggested I get a scan and promised a follow up phone call ( I drove into Worcester to make that appointment in person as I was unable to do this on line). Call came through at designated time but very abrupt which and unsatisfactory. "Result as expected, is there anything else I can help you with". I now have 2 follow up appointments booked on different dates in January and am unable to cancel either on line as they request a booking reference. Neither confirmation letter has one of those. Once again I cannot get through to Preston.

    Over an hour in the waiting room was then given 5 seconds to explain my symptoms before being told it was because I got the covid vaccine over 2 years ago. Totally unprofessional and mean.

    I needed to postpone an appointment due to illness, but the phone number I was given in a telephone reminder was unobtainable. I then used the company number, but was 28th in the queue, so I went on line to the company website as recommended. I reached the page to reschedule my appointment, but I was repeatedly sent in a loop when I specified the date and time. In desperation I phoned the NHS clinic where my appointment was due to take place, but was told that they were a separate entity to CHEC and had no means of informing them that I could not keep my appointment. Finally I went back to the CHEC website and found an online chat icon. Only then was I able to establish contact with someone who was able to reschedule my appointment. The whole business needlessly took well over an hour, and left me frustrated and angry, when I was already unwell. When I did get to my rescheduled appointment, I was expecting to have a quick eye pressure test (as had happened at my previous two appointments), but instead had a full set of tests. The appointment letters I receive from CHEC are generic and always the same, so I never know what to expect at an appointment (in particular whether I will have eye drops which prevent me from driving afterwards). In conclusion I find the communications from CHEC to be inadequate, and communication with them from my side to be frustratingly difficult. I would like to say however, that the staff themselves are very pleasant, friendly, and know their jobs, but are not fully trained in explaining to patients what the procedures and processes are for monitoring and checking their eye health.
