    The lady doing the testing was very pleasant and kind. She was very patient and explained about the tests. She didn’t rush anything, was caring and professional and put me at ease.

    I appreciate being able to have my regular glaucoma checks at this CHEC clinic, rather than having a lengthy wait at the eye department of the local hospital. They seem to be efficient in the checking procedure. I'm always told that I'll receive the results within weeks but this never happens. Even when I ring to chase the results, I'm told they'll be put in the post the same day, but I've never received them. Last time I eventually popped in to the clinic (they don't open very often!) and they were printed off for me. No apology. If CHEC could get the admin side of things right, then it would be an excellent service.

    Retinal tear spotted and within less than 60 minutes was having laser eye surgery at the Royal Stoke. Thanks for the prompt service. Nick

    I find my appointments at CHEC Blackpool always to be very efficient and the staff who do my eye tests and vision tests to be very good. I saw a wonderful assistant today at 11.10am and she was absolutely fantastic really lovely and professional she put me at ease, she is a credit to CHEC. I sadly today found the receptionist with short fair hair and red rimmed glasses to be very abrupt, immediately saying as I walked up to the reception desk “name” rather than “hello or good morning please can I have your name” she could do with a better customer manner. She was rude to the elderly gentleman who she served after me and I felt sad that I experienced this poor treatment of this man. He was asking to order eye drops but she was very abrupt with him and he was merely asking for her help and was very polite to her. Other than this it was a great visit.

    I have attended the clinic in Blackpool on several occasions and I have always found them to be very friendly, informative and efficient every time. It is easy to make an appointment. The communication is very good and the waiting time is excellent. Never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes before being seen.

    Speed is the first thing that amazed me, I was expecting a long delay but 4 weeks after starting the process at the opticians I had an initial consultation and 6 days later had the cataract removed on my first eye. All the staff were friendly and efficient, transport home had been requested, I arrived at 11:10 for 11:15 appointment, was seen within 10 minutes, checks completed, surgery done, transport waiting and home just before 1. Amazing service, thank you.

    I had cataract surgery on wed 26th June my nerves were sky high but when I walk in chec hospital in leicester they calmed down only because the staff were out of this world with care and attention and patience they took everything in my time the nurse who did my assessment went up and beyond to calm me down she even swapped her duties with another nurse so she could come to threate with me to hold my hand surgery was done very quickly and painless everybody who works in the leicester chec hospital 5 stars to u all thankyou lynne holland

    My father has been referred to CHEC for 4 monthly checks due to his Glaucoma. Today we were scheduled at the Stratford Clinic which appeared to be a rented office space on the third floor within a Chiropractic clinic. My father is 85 years, blind in one eye and when entering the examination room, it was dark and he couldn’t see where he was supposed to sit. When seated for his first eye test, the equipment was not set-up to move towards the patient like it normally is, but required my father to shuffle a heavy seat without wheels forward. The clinician then asked my father to do the click test on his blind eye. When I pointed out he has been blind for some time and it is on his records, we were told they didn’t even look at the records beforehand. After running two test, the click and eye scan we were told that was it. I then had to ask for the pressure test as this is one the first indicators how the Glaucoma is presenting itself. Overall, this was a terrible experience and i hate to think how he and others would have manage without a carers help. We will not be accepting any appointments at this clinic anymore. I would like to add however that the Coventry CHEC is a more professional facility.
