I had an ongoing cough and was referred to the respiratory clinic quite quickly within a few weeks. I was impressed with that. But the follow on consultation was a bit of a waste for all concerned because the flo test for my lungs had not came through before seeing the consultant. I was under the impression that the consultant did the test after the six weeks of inhalers. But no, I was supposed to go to Dorking hospital for that separately. Big communication error . So an afternoon off work for me and time wasted at the clinic. So slick to start but let down in the actual treatment I feel. Hopefully the flo tests will come through shortly and then back to see the consultant hopefully with a good result.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback regarding your Respiratory Referral and follow on appointments. We are sorry that you felt it was not up to scratch with your follow up with the Clinician and can only think you are referring to the Lung Function test clinic. These clinics are rather busy at present and there may have been a delay in getting you an appointment which tied in with the Clinician appointment? Easy free parking, pleasant waiting area, seen promptly and with kindness and courtesy. Given ample chance to explain my situation and treated efficiently with full explanation of what was suggested. All in all a good and positive experience.

My face to face consultation had to be changed 24 hours before my appointment as I discovered I had the dreaded covid virus. One call to the hospital and they were brilliant. Changed my face to face appointment to a telephone appointment. I can't thank all the staff enough for being so helpful. The consultant was brilliant and a phone call was super adequate on this occasion so even with covid it didn't affect my consultation. The wonders of modern technology and hospital staff willing to be professional and helpful makes a huge difference.

I am 86 years old and I can honestly say that the doctor I saw was the best Doctor I have ever seen.He is investigating every Avenue to try to help me.He is a diamond!

Nice reception staff. I was seen almost on time. Parking a slight problem. My main problem was understanding the consultant owing to my poor hearing, his very quiet voice and his accent. He was very nice though!

I was given an earlier appointment than originally planned. I was seen on time The practitioner was very pleasant and informative and answered all my questions. She told me the outcome of the scan as she examined each part.

I get referred to Dorking Hospital quite often and give silent thanks each time I go for many reasons including convenience, lovely attitude of the reception staff and the overall efficiency. My last experience was really good too. The technician was lovely and took time to explain what was happening. I’m so pleased we have this facility in Dorking to spare us from the trip to another hospital in another town.

Friendly staff and volunteers. Prompt and on time appointment. Even the Friends kiosk was great. Would have liked a cafe for breakfast though being a diabetic who left home without breakfast as I expected one there

We are pleased you found the staff and Coffee Shop Volunteers friendly and you had a positive experience with us. Regarding your comments on the Friends Coffee Shop, as you are aware it is Volunteer lead and provides drinks and snacks for our visitors and staff, but unfortunately doesn't have the capacity or funding to provide breakfasts, as we are only a small outpatients facility.
