    Twice I have waited months for biopsy results and had to chase on numerous occasions. Still waiting for results of a biopsy taken in September. Medical staff excellent but the lab service or record keeping is appalling.

    Thank you for your feedback, Mr Flint. We're sorry that you have experienced a delay in receiving your results. After receiving your review we were able to contact you directly and explain that unfortunately the external laboratory responsible for processing samples is taking longer at the moment. They have a plan in place to return to their usual timeframes, although we may continue to see some delays in the interim period. Please be assured that as soon as we receive results we are updating patients with a results letter and follow up appointment if necessary. Thanks, DHC

    We are very fortunate to have Dorking Hospital which provides a range of outpatient specialist services efficiently without all the hassle of a major hospital.

    Weekend appointment which was great as no need to take time off work. Ample free parking was wonderful. Clean and well maintained facilities, lovely friendly receptionist and no longer wait for my appointment. Consultant was extremely professional, and gave a full assessment. She was polite and had a great bedside manner so no need to be anxious. I wish all medical appointments in other facilities were as great as this....

    The consultant I saw was very very rude to me, although he has booked me for further treatment at East Surrey hospital, then back to him I will see if I can get to see someone else, as Hurt my mental health. I know he has a job to do but his bed side manner could I.prove greatly I cried after seeing him.

    I would like to say how friendly everyone was and how efficient the receptionists were . Keeping times up on the board for waiting etc. facilities ie toilets were imaculate and as for my consultant she was so understanding and helped me so much. I am so glad my gp referred me there. A very clean and calm place. Also had a coffee in the league of friends very nice and cosy. Thank you Melanie

    My experience with this respiratory consultant over several years has been one of relief, as opposed to frustration. He is kind and caring and he gives me time to speak and he listens carefully. I feel heard, understood and he has thoroughly investigated my chronic health issue doing his utmost to get to the bottom of it. An experience I’ve not had repeated by other consultants I’ve had contact with. His whole manner is one of kindness, concern and an experienced knowledge, he does not rush and there’s plenty of space in the appointment to discuss the matter, and yet he mostly seems to run on time. I wish there were more like him. I can only imagine how difficult his job has been since the pandemic and how stretched, exhausted and stressed he must be but his manner has never wavered. I feel that he’s given me the best possible care and attention if only I could say that about the way my two other chronic conditions have been managed. I wish I could name him here because he deserves recognition, he’s outstanding.

    I was very grateful to have today appointment in advanced because of a cancellation. I was seeing by my rheumatologist, she was very attentive about my problems and advised me about the medicines and treatment to follow. I should be seeing her in about 3 months time.

    I attended the Glaucoma monitoring clinic at Dorking Hospital. I was seen on time, all the staff were very pleasant and the consultant was excellent in his explanation on my eye conditions.

    The appointment was made soon after the referral from my GP. I then had the opportunity of an earlier appointment due to a cancellation. On both occasions the person I dealt with was very helpful. The appointments were immediately confirmed by letter. The appointment was by telephone and the consultant rang me exactly on time. He was very helpful and fully explained the situation and his recommendations.
