    I had a consultation on the 29th November concerning my need for a Knee replacement it was very thorough by an excellent consultant. I liked the environment i was in everyone was very helpful and i was very pleased with the examination i had. After the examination the consultant advised me that the procedure i required was probably different to what he he had been advised by the NHS so he would have to liaise with the NHS for further authorisation. Two weeks later the consultant informed me by telephone that i was to be transferred back to the NHS. From my perspective i was very disappointed as i had thought that i would have had my operation sooner rather than later. The above represents the only interaction i have had with one health

    From the first meeting to the final discharge, every person from the catering staff to the surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and physios that were involved in my care did their very best to put me at ease and make my stay a pleasant experience.

    I was seen in November 2022 by the neurosurgeon at One Health. After 23 years of back pain and numerous procedures, I felt no one was listening to me. My consultant was amazing, within a month I had been for X-rays, MRI,and had another injection in my back. I am now awaiting an operation. All within 6 months. Thank you One Health for your support and care. I would recommend One Health to anyone who needs help and reassurance about their health condition. I have had amazing care and support from everyone I have been in contact with.

    On being diagnosed by the consultant in Grimsby, on a Saturday, I was put on the list for decompression surgery to my spine with an estimated waiting list of 3 to 6 months. However, on the Monday I was offered surgery at The Huddersfield Hospital for two weeks time, to be done on 3rd November 2023.This is some 1½ hour drive from me but I jumped at the chance. The operation went without a hitch and the Hospital staff were all superb. Food excellent and all aftercare wonderful. As was my three sessions of physio at the Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Clinic back in my local area.

    I had a spinal appointment scheduled for 8.50 am this morning, 21st November, at the North Hykeham Health Centre. Beforehand, I received umpteen reminders telling I must attend on time and that, if I couldn't, then I must ring and inform One Health Group. I duly arrived 10 minutes early and took my seat in the waiting room. The minutes passed and nothing happened. Some time after 9 am, someone who could have been the consultant turned up at reception - it turned out that he was the person with whom I had my appointment. More minutes passed. No one had the courtesy to come over and inform me there would be a delay, not the receptionist, not the consultant nor his nurse. At 9.20, I went to reception and said I was unhappy with the wait. The receptionist seemed to do nothing. A nurse finally came to collect me just after 9.30 am which was over 40 minutes late. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the delay and she gave some sort of feedback form to fill in which I did so making some quite scathing comments about double standards. A few minutes later, the consultant finally got around to calling me in. I was expecting an immediate apology but there wasn't one so I said "You're lucky I am still here". His response was "You are welcome to leave" so, given what I saw was an appalling attitude by someone who should know much better, I left, feeling totally insignificant and unimportant. From my experience today, this company clearly operate double standards for patients and consultants. It seems consultants can do what they like yet patients have to fit in with whatever consultants do such as being late and like it or lump it. This is shoddy, shabby behaviour and patients deserve much better. It seemed to me that we were back in the days when consultants were the aristocracy and patients were just peasants to them. That's how I felt today. That consultant needs to be sent for retraining. I certainly don't want to see him again. I am scheduled to have a knee replacement next week and I have no free days before then. That will push back any re-arranged appointment until at least the second half of January and all because of this consultant who didn't show basic courtesy. How much extra pain will I have to suffer in the meantime? Will anyone at One Health Group be bothered? I doubt that very much indeed. Be very wary indeed of this company.
