Review titled Dreadful service
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 October 2023
Took 1.5 hours to get a prescription filled. 1 person serving 2 + pharmacist in the back Had to queue for 25 minutes before I could hand in script, told it would be 15 mins. Did some shopping went back to collect & another excessive wait to pick it up. Whilst waiting to collect assistant went round the back & came back out chewing food then proceeded to take a long drink out of a bottle of coke! This is not good practice or service

Review titled Dreadful experience that left me speechless
Rated 1 star out of 5

I had an appointment for flu jab and blood pressure test. I arrived 5 minutes early and queued for 10 mins. On reaching the front of the queue I was greeted with these exact words "will this take long?" which left me struggling for an answer. Then "what is it that you want?" to which I said I was here for my flu jab. She then said all appointments were cancelled in a way that implied I should have known this already, like it should have been completely obvious to me (which it wasn't) and said they had been unable to contact me, this despite not even knowing my name at this point, something she never asked. She said she had been unable to contact me, despite my having provided my email address and mobile number during the booking process. So basically I was completely blown out with no explanation, no apology and given incredible rude treatment that left me speechless. I honestly can't recall ever having been treated in such a way, right from the start, before I even spoke.

Week after doctor sent prescription went to collect and not ready. A further 15 minute delay and none in so ordering some, told ready tomorrow. Left it 3 days to find no one knew where it was other than on a shelf, 20 minutes of looking then took my number to phone if they ever find it. Won't hold my breath. Avoid at all costs as simpliest tasks seem improbably difficult for all concerned.

Review titled Shocking service
Rated 1 star out of 5

Having electronically ordered my repeat prescription I called to collect from Asda pharmacy to be told that my strong painkillers were on order and to come back tomorrow. I advised the pharmacist it would be Wednesday before I could get back there but it turned out that I couldn't get there until Saturday. When I went to collect I was then advised that they didn't have them and to come back on Monday. As I had run out and was now in excruciating pain I told the dispenser I had no tablets left, and that they were supposed to be in 4 days ago. She went into the back and what a surprise, she found them - they hadn't been put in the right place. At 5.15 I was told it would 15-20 minutes so I went and did my shopping. When I came back to the pharmacy it was closed!! The sign said they were closed from 5.30 - 6.00, so why did they tell me to come back between 5.30 and 5.35? I use the Asda pharmacy for convenience but I will be looking for another pharmacy as this one has gradually been getting worse over the last 6-12 months and I can't deal with constantly having to go back because they don't have medication in stock, and don't let regular customers know. And how frightening is it that a pharmacy can misplace orders of prescription-only high strength Painkillers??

Review titled Excellent experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My husband and I had our flu vaccinations at Asda in Kettering and we were so impressed with everything. The pharmacist who administered the vaccine was welcoming, friendly, and nothing was rushed. We can both honestly say that we didn't feel the needle at all and this really surprised us. It was probably our best experience of a vaccination ever and we are in our 70s so have been injected many times!

Issue with pharmacy, I currently have a flu bug, coughing a lot etc went to pharmacy to find best cough medicine to purchase as I am asthmatic. After waiting over 30 minutes in queue was advised to go to my surgery, remember this is on a Saturday) lady serving on counter was surprised that my surgery was not open on a Saturday (which one's are?) She then preceeded to ask pharmacist who apparently advised to go to isle 4 and buy cough sweets and no other advice. I believe nhs scotland advises that you visit a pharmacy for minor issues! Left totally disgusted with service received

Review titled Forget booking a flu jab!

Tried half a dozen times to book my private flu jab, and they repeatedly cancelled without explanation. Have now booked with a different pharmacy that are much more reliable. Absolute joke!

Very rude and abrupt women serves me give name many times to her her attitude was extremely rude couldn’t find the prescription told not her problem I ask what am I to do as doctors were now shut another member of staff comes over even ruder than the first told me that I couldn’t of seen a doctor so no prescription is issued tried to tell me who I must of seen tried explaining who I saw and when didn’t listen just over talked me and told again not their problem so had to leave empty handed and upset will never return that’s for sure what has happened to help and compassion today definitely need more customer service training

Review titled hopeless service delays
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Long time customer - Posted on 15 September 2023
Since Asda Wakefield moved its pharmacy location within the store the service has been dreadful. There is always a queue of people and no staff to serve them. I went in today to collect a prescription which they have had for a week, to be told that not all the drug was available and in any case it had not yet been made up and would take another half hour. This is by no means the first time I have been given this answer. It may be significant that there is a big notice warning people not to be abusive to staff. I'm not surprised they feel the need for this given the appalling standards of service. Many customers being made to wait for ages must be tempted to complain.

Review titled In agony due to Asda incompetence

3rd visit still not available ,now it’s Saturday and I now have to wait until Monday afternoon with no guarantee it will be there. Why are NHS England allowing Asda to delay dispensing urgent medication , if Asda can’t dispense medication within a reasonable time they shouldn’t be on your list
